I'm thinking of waiting for it to come out on dvd. :-\
-
I refuse to pay theater costs to watch it, ill wait for it on DVD and netflix it.
-
I haven't seen it yet either. No real urge- I'll likely rent it when it comes out on dvd or watch it on hbo or something. I don't believe any of the positive impressions I've seen for it on here or GAF, either- y'all are a bunch of fanboys with opinions not to be trusted. I mean, some of you liked 28 Weeks Later for the love of christ.
-
I've read too many mainstream reviews to believe there are positive opinions of the movie from people who ware being honest about it.

Who the hell likes it a lot here besides Michelle.
-
Solo and I enjoyed it but only Michelle calls it better than Spidey 2.
-
I enjoyed it in spurts. It's better than a lot of other comic movies, that's for sure, but a totally disappointing effort that felt half assed.
-
i haven't seen it yet either and i don't plan to

So did a lot of PROFESSIONAL critics, which I trust more.

They usually don't have taste, either. Look at the reviews for Star Wars Episode III for fucks sakes!

There's always an exception, I will give you that. But, it is getting good reviews, and there's no denying that.
While the plot is relatively predictable, the pacing will keep audiences riveted and likely fascinated by the ways Fresnadillo and his team deliver death and mayhem.
Bill Zwecker
Chicago Sun-Times
Thematic resonance makes 28 Weeks Later stick to your nightmares. Hold on for a hell of a ride.
Peter Travers
Rolling Stone
It's an experience for the smart part of your brain as well as its more reptilian corners. We can enjoy the aesthetic qualities, even as we cringe pleasurably from the shock-and-awe entertainment values.
Desson Thomson
Washington Post
28 Weeks Later is brutal and almost exhaustingly terrifying. It is also bracingly smart, both in its ideas and in its techniques.
A.O. Scott
New York Times
28 Weeks Later excels at creating a keen, creepy sense of a civilization stopped dead in its tracks.
Lisa Schwarzbaum
Entertainment Weekly

i haven't seen it yet but i don't think that i'll hate it. at worst it'll be better than s-m1 (which was ok) but i don't really expect it to be better than s-m2 which it probably isn't if the internet is to believe.
-
I havent seen 1 or 2
-
I really hated the last ones. It was like how predictable and emo can we make people feel in two hours? I might look up the plot summary for 3 on wikipedia one day if I'm bored just to troll it.
-
not gonna see it for a looong time. I don't like comicbook movies.
however I do keep hearing that sm3 is funny, so maybe ill check it out based on that.
-
I watched it yesterday. You can totally tell there were too many plots, sub plots and subsub plots going on. And the editing was weird in some areas...where it would cut to a different scene awkwardly. Also the whole Emo Parker thing was HORRIBLE. The way he brushes his hair over his forehead when the symbiote is taking him over was ugh.
I disliked how they felt the need to show Foremans prepubecent face whenever Venom was talking. I'm guessing it was due to not wanting to do CG for all the Venom convos (animating his face)...but still.
The Sandman transformation scene (when he first becomes Sandman) was so.fucken.awesome. The way the sand broke apart and he couldn't keep his form...the CG was masterfully done in that scene.

Hey, I didn't like Spider-man 3. :maf
-
I haven't gone. I've been busy with finals, graduation and packing so I skipped my one chance to go see it.
If the buzz had been good I probably would've just gone and seen it.
-
I'll probably see it soon enough.
-
i have not and do not plan to
might see hot fuzz LATE tonight if the 'rents are agreeable and will watch the brat for us
-
I haven't seen it yet. Going to a 3:15pm showing today.
I did, however, see Zoo on Friday night!!

Ah, but you DID like 28 Weeks Later, which is undoubtedly the lesser movie between the two.

Oh, I promise you, it isn't.

I'm waiting for DVD as well. I'm not paying $10 to see a movie I know is going to be crap.
-
Waiting to rent DVD, then maybe purchase when it's $5 at Sam's Club (should only take a few weeks after release, lol)
-
Not seen it. Never got to the movies anymore.
-
Just wait and rent the 8 hour directors cut.
-
I haven't gone to the cinemas in two years. I suppose I've become quite patient. Or have little money. Ratatouille might break me.

Was gonna see it on Friday with Theresa but she wanted to stay in and make out, instead... not that I minded, of course. :-*

Spidey goes Yaoi?
-
Holy fuck I nearly fell out of my chair laughing at the part where he turned to the mirror and brought his hair down emo-style.

And I think I've seen all the good parts of SM-3 on YouTube.
-
I still haven't seen it. I think that now I may be the only one.
