:o
Too bad the game looks boring as shit.
-
crap 2d backgrounds + low-poly models + low resolution = :-\
-
BUH BUH DS
Honestly even hearing him explain that stylus implementation makes me not give a shit at all. I dont wanna poke or waggle god damnit, I wanna play games,.
-
God. They should have made it oldschool Ninja Gaiden side scroller instead of this garbage.

I just don't get why they'd use something like that for something that's as fast paced as NG. Then again, this NG looks slow as hell.

Fuck you guys, this game looks awesome damnit. Whats wrong with you fools? You dont like touch controls?

:rofl

The controls sound really distinguished mentally-challenged (it basically sounds like one of the "lightgun" shooter games for the DS, except you can see your character on screen). It looks great until you realize it's using prerendered backgrounds, at which point it's not impressive at all. Team Ninja fails.
-
Doesn't look too bad. Not a fan of how you have to hold the thing sideways though.
-
Should have gone with the psp or made it a damn side scroller.
-
I just dont get how Stylus controls are suddenly good, no matter that Stylus controls spent 5 years on PDAs forcing games to suck. They dont work for everything, just how waggle doesnt work for everything. Does the success of the Wii and DS mean games will have to go through the fucking Dark Ages while devs figure this shit out?

I can see there being a good stylus RTS, but it would need a much higher resolution than the DS. It would also have to be somewhat fast paced with few hot keys.
-
PDA couldnt do a very good stylus RTS, and I played a few of them. I mean there's acceptable for a handheld, and then there's a 'good rts' :(

Yeah, my problem from one of the recent game videos is that they made it sound like you just tap n' scratch on the screen to kill shit and jump around. Where is the challenge in this? You don't even directly control Ryu...when you slash at enemies, he runs over to them and attacks. :-\ Hope it turns out well; it certainly looks very good considering the platform.
-
I hope it sucks and bombs so people go back to making real games.

I don't see the point of this release at all... Tecmo should have either attempted a traditional spinoff for the PSP or they should've thrown the fans of the original series a bone by releasing a 2D sidescroller for DS (the latter being the ideal... :heart NG2 :heart)

rofl I hated on this on another board and this is the response I got:
We've already established that you don't like console games going portable, so that doesn't really come as a surprise.
As it is, I think it looks pretty reasonable - and the response I've seen on the internet seems to be generally positive as well.
:rofl

Seriously.
-
What? Developers are still going for this tacked on stylus shit? I thought that phase was over?
-
I like how Konami and Capcom do their best to avoid it.
-
Trauma Center and Kirby Canvas Curse are still the two best stylus only games. I still haven't played Ouendan/EBA.
-
EBA and Ouendan are great too, so is Mario vs Donkey Kong 2
-
I like when games give you the choice of using the stylus or traditional buttons, like phoenix wright and pokemon pearl.
-
Im fine with choice, but crappy implementation with no choice is sad.
-
DS sux AMIRITE guys.
-
I like my DS a lot and have as many games for it as I do my PSP. I just hate crappy stylus implementation. I have three DS games out of like 12 or so that use the stylus correctly, the rest use a normal control scheme.
