So I have spent the last hour with this thing. In that time I have used up half my colour ink -- with out even printing one goddamn full picture. I have also kicked a hole in my wall, which is the first time I have even done something so stupid, and if this thing doesn't work soon I'm taking it out on the street and breaking it with a sledge hammer.
When ever I try to print a colored, full page picture, it prints half of it then just freezes. printing text is fine and black and white is fine. Its a Dell all in one and my pc should be more than powerful enough to get it to do what I want it to (1.6 Pentium M), and I don't have any other program running when I'm trying to print.

Unplug your printer, take it to your car, and as you're driving to the public library to fufill your printing needs, toss it into the street.
-
What model is it?
Try uninstalling it completely and re-installing the drivers.
If that doesn't work, try updating the firmware on the printer itself.
-
On your way back from the library, buy some plaster and fix your damn wall, psycho.
-
I've unistalled and reinstalled the drivers. How do I update the firmware on the printer?
Model is Dell Photo All-in-One 964.

Are you able to wait an hour or so? I've got to run to the post office and then to pick my dad up from work. I'll be back then.
In the meantime, head to Dell's website and see if you can find firmware for the printer.

k. I just found the install disk so I'm going to try getting it running on a different pc just to make sure thats not the problem.

I got a new driver off here and will see if it has any effect, also a firware update but I'm not sure if its for the pc software or for the printers firmware.

It works just fine on my other pc, so then I get to printing and I'm out of colour ink. This is one piss ass day :-\.

Download the Dell Photo All-in-One Printer 964 firmware, and make sure you follow the instructions.
Download the Dell Photo All-in-One Printer 964 drivers, and follow the setup instructions.
Hopefully that'll fix it on your screwy PC.

Thanks. :)
I'll try it tonight after I get more colour ink.
