These battered hand are all you own
This broken heart has turned to stone
Go hang your glory on the wall
There comes a time when castles fall
And all that's left is shifting in the sand
You're out of time, you're out of place
Look at your face
That's the measure of a man
This coat that fits you like a glove
These dirty streets you learned to love
So welcome back my long lost friend
You've been to hell and back again
God alone knows how you crossed that span
Back on the beat, back to the start
Trust in your heart
That's the measure of a man
It's the fire in the eyes, the lines on the hand
It's the things you understand
Permanent ties from which you once ran
That's the measure of a man
You've come full cirlce, now you're home
Without the gold, without the chrome
And this is where you've always been
You had to lose so you could win
And rise above your troubles while you can
Now you can love, now you can lose
Now you can choose
That's the measure of a man

The Rocky 4 soundtrack plus "Eye of the Tiger" and the original Rocky theme are all amazing. Some of the greatest workout songs ever.
-
I am acquiring all the Rocky soundtracks right now because of this thread. Of course, I already had Eye Of The Tiger.
-
This thread sucks i thought this thread was about the Rocky Horror Picture Show music which freaking rocks all. Along with Grease 2's Reproduction as best soundtrack songs.

Everything Rocky is pure concentrated awesome. Particularly everything Rocky IV and V. Ivan Drago, Tommy Gunn, Sage Stallone, Eye of the Tiger... the list goes on.

Gonna Fly now by Bill Conti (from the original Rocky) should be on continuous play in EVERY FUCKIN CLASSROOM IN AMERICA. Thats how illiteracy will be fixed, all the kids will be pumped to drop some learnin bombs!

By the way, Blue Tsunami, if you like this sort of semi-cheesy 80's hype music, check out the songs "Break the Ice" and "Thunder in Your Heart" (both from the soundtrack to the movie "Rad") and "You're the Best," from the Karate Kid soundtrack. Awesome stuff to get you pumped. :D
Also, the instrumental "War" on the Rocky 4 soundtrack is my underrated favorite from that movie. "Eye of the Tiger," "Hearts on Fire," "No Easy Way Out," "Burning Heart," and the training montage (unnamed) are my other faves. :)

The "You're the Best" is so awesome, such a staple song. I also downloaded the Rad songs and their both awesome. Cheesy yes, but the the imagery you get from the songs are so great.

I love all of them also. Its amazing what a great selection of music can do to a movie.

Yeah, and they're even better if you see them with the movie. :D There's undoubtedly a dollop of nostalgia at work there, since I watched the movie dozens of times as a kid (I'd rent it for the songs alone, but it's a pretty cool movie when you're young), but the flick just had awesome tunes. These two I mentioned are joined by "Get Strange" (very hard to find; not a workout song, but good) and the 80's pop single "Send Me An Angel," by Real Life (you've gotta know this one).
