Title: Why is it in almost EVERY sports movie...

... that THE state/regional/world champions that our underdog of [enter sport here] has to face (usually twice, where they lose the first time, but beat 'em the second time for the finals!) is usually a bunch of white assholes?  Sports movies are racist.

Or baseball... or football... or even basketball (The Monstars were totally white, and what was that dumb basketball film that came out last year about an all-black team of scrub underdogs versus the all-white team of CHAMPIONSHIP ASSHOLES).

Probably to denote money and privilege?  If we had a movie where 15 year old versions of you and me teamed up to win a regional curling/duckpin bowling/badminton tournament, the bad guys would have to be from Potomac or Chevy Chase.

Also, the two biggest sports movies ever: Hoosiers and Rocky.  Just saying.
