I have a third party MadCats gamecube memory card. At the time I bought it (3 years ago), I don't think there were official gamecube memory cards that held more space. Quite frankly, I thought gamecube memory cards were lame.
Anyways, ever since I got a Wii and started playing GC games on it, it's been having trouble reading the card in slot A. Slot B reads it perfectly. Now, this wouldn't be a problem if gamecube wasn't gay and its games allowed you to save in either save slot, but nope, it has to be in slot A. Before it was merely hard for the slot to read the card. Now its merely hard getting it to do that and in order for it to read the card, I have to push it all the way down and tilt it a little to the right. Now, last night when playing RE4 it said that slot A was broken, and also that the memory card was corrupt and it should be formatted. Bullshit. I saved and loaded just fine.
What the hell is going on? Should I just get an official GC memory card? And if so, how much do they cost and do they hold more blocks than they used to? Or should I just ship my wii to Nintendo so they can fix this bullshit?

sounds like you've got a limp wii... still under warranty? i have 3rd party memory card as well and it works fine

It's a Nintendo console. Warranty doesn't matter.

It has a grudge against you. Sega fan >:(

More like anti-Nintendo except for 3 games fan.

That's what you get for buying shitty mad catz shit. :P Buy a real card and transfer your stuff over.

Do you know anyone with an official card?
If you've got to do this crazy push in hard and tile to the side, it almost sounds like a solder joint or something is fucked on your Wii's memory card slot.

Also, if you're calling Nintendo, tell them it's a Memory Card 59 or some shit. Don't tell them it's a Mad Catz card.
That way if they want you to send the card in too, you can just buy a Mem Card 59 for like $2, put a few saves on it, and send it to them.
