Title: Another example of "new" does not mean better or even remotely "innovative"

New Ninja Gaiden Dragon Sword impressions:

Quote
The touch screen controls also offer up some new ways for special attacks. Performing a super powerful fire move's handled by tapping a special character in the corner of the screen and painting over it with the stylus. To perform ultimate moves, hold block and start scribbling the screen to generate the power -- release the block to unleash and watch the enemies go down with some impressive visuals.

Great. Now our games are becoming scratch and tap to appeal to the people who just want "impressive" (for ds) graphics.

There are two types of game, Himu. Games you will play, and games you won't. Why do you keep talking about the latter?

Yes I've seem to notice this.....why do so many people love to compain?

This game looks like shit.  It's not technically impressive (prerendered, lol) and the gameplay is a prettied up take on the shitty DS light gun games.  Team Ninja FAILS.

I remember reading some preview that said Ninja Gaiden Dragon Sword had gameplay comparable to Pocky and Rocky. That sounded pretty neat. Then I watched the demo.

and the gameplay is a prettied up take on the shitty DS light gun games.

POINT BLANK.

How is Point Blank on the ds? Point Blank is classic light gun action. They couldn't have fucked that one up, right?

Watch out for the DS version! It's going to be awesome  :lol
