they're here to witness e-beef over an open flame
I am not, nor will I EVER be, an OAer. Internet forum wankers who jerk off to forum drama, the lot of them.Well, then the posters would have to go migrate somewhere. Better to keep them all in one place.
If OA was to die off today and never come back, I would be a happy man.
ew, OAers. the broken souls of the internet.

In what thread?
I've never understood the point of lurking or just watching a forum. If you aren't posting it's kinda like watching your neibghor's TV through their window.

I lurked at gaf for a year or two before I joined; whats funny is the people that I liked and remembered got banned only a few months after I joined, lol.
usually you get good discussion though.
What I don't dig about OA and sometimes EB is when half the forum threads are about a poster instead of an actual topic. You're just mad that more topics aren't about you!
if the alternative to more posters is the presence of socially maladjusted misfits and latchkey cretins of the oa variety: pass!
I was an OAer. :-*Once an OAer always and OAer
who on oa is "highly respected" for their opinions? the discussions here feature articulate, knowledgable, civil participants, many of whom are well-read or are even experts in their fields -- no wonder you feel you fit in better at oa!Are you serious? Almost every thread get derailed, usually with homo material.
many do but we have some pretty in depth discussions on movies and other stuff often in a civil and knowledgable way, that would never happen at OA.who on oa is "highly respected" for their opinions? the discussions here feature articulate, knowledgable, civil participants, many of whom are well-read or are even experts in their fields -- no wonder you feel you fit in better at oa!Are you serious? True, but the thread derailments can be quite obnoxious sometimes.I would like to de... rail you. :hump :hump
True, but the thread derailments can be quite obnoxious sometimes.but look at oa, every single thread even halfway related to games turns into a passionately hateful troll mess. The trolling at EB is jokey and mostly sarcastic.

I'm not promoting OA, I'm just saying that's what's annoying about EB.True, but the thread derailments can be quite obnoxious sometimes.but look at oa, every single thread even halfway related to games turns into a passionately hateful troll mess. The trolling at EB is jokey and mostly sarcastic.
I thought we've had less and less thread derailments lately?we seen to have far less.
