Title: Ladies and Gentlemen, the MEGAMAN ZX Thread.

The highly anticipated english release of Megaman ZX for the Nintendo DS comes wednesday.

I have beaten the japanese version thus,

Any question about this game, I can answer.

First a stolen summary!

Mega Man ZX (ロックマンゼクス, Rokkuman Zekusu?, Rockman ZX) is a spin-off of the long running Mega Man video game series from Capcom for the Nintendo DS. Mega Man ZX is side-scrolling shooter like Mega Man, Mega Man X, and Mega Man Zero, and features an art style similar to Mega Man Zero (with art design done by Toru Nakayama). The "Z" and "X" in the title refer to Biometals Z and X. The game contains voice acting and many animated sequences. As a first for the Mega Man series, the game features both a male and female protagonist.

The games storyline takes place between the Megaman Zero and Legends series, and also seems to have a noticable influence of the X series. A little known fact is that these series are all connected. (In the following order: original 1-8, X 1-8 , zero 1-4 and legends 1-2.) .exe is on a seperate dimension so says megamans creator.

Anyway, questions about ZX? Gameplay/Story wise?

Post by: Vizzys on September 13, 2006, 01:31:59 AM: Well I liked it, good gameplay, decent difficulty, most of the bosses are not screaming in anger hard but provide a decent challenge.

The only boss I dispised was the final optional one, who can pretty much fuck you up in three hits, so lightning quick dodging is necessary. Had to retry about nine times, not to mention the path to the boss is decked with spikes and dissapearing blocks that make up your path.

One thing I would like to note (potential buyers) is that this games levels are all connected kind of like metroid/castlevania. No loading at all!

You can also rematch the bosses for a higher level, see in this game the bosses have weak points and if you kill them without hitting it, you aquire their "Model" (much like the weapons of previous games) with a full bar (level 4). Hitting the weak point lowers their health and kills them quicker but also gives you a weaker model when defeated (level 1).

The levels equal the amount of time you have to use the OIS (Overdrive Invoke System, used by pressing the "a" button), which makes your attacks more powerful/gives you more abilitys.

Gayest translation idea ever! It's rock on! not mega on! Eliminates the pun :(

They cut the voice acting completely, so they don't say anything when changing models, so I guess you won't know your missing it anyway...

Changed serpent company to slither inc..TSK TSK CAPCOM AMERICA.

Like the other people here have said, the Zero series revived Megaman as we know it. Awesome games.

Lol you guys got fucked over it seems. Somebody must have it If I'm playing it right now.
