I thought the trailer looked interesting until I read about the book. In retrospect it loses some lust because of that.

Trailer really doesn't give much away, but the whole story already has me buying a ticket.

To be fair, the Charlton Heston version isn't very good, either.  The Will Smith remake looks totally wrong.

No one even knows how the movie will work yet we're already blasting it. I'll wait to see whether Smith is being Smith in the movie before judging it.

The concept sounds pretty generic, but perhaps that's because I've seen it used so many times in other things, which came out after the book (Twilight Zone for instance). Sort of like having your enjoyment of the Godfather somewhat dampened by the modern knockoffs and such

The book is fucking awesome, whoever hates I Am Legend is a fucking MORON

However from the looks of it the movie won't really capture the feeling of isolation and desperation. In fact this looks bad :(
