Done. I will (I dunno about demi..etc) stop till it is released. The day of I'll make a topic of spoilers. But I bet I will be beaten to that.
This is evilbore after all. TVC, Drinky, and Demi will probably have spoiler filled topics day one before I wake up. :(

Holy shit Brand New just brought up the idea that that's NORBERT. OMG that would be sweet :lol
In fact, I believe it. Why didn't I think of that...haven't read the first couple books in ages
-
dude, being this obsessed over spoilers is pathetic. you're compromising your lives and routines just to avoid knowledge of plot elements in children's books. if that doesn't merit abuse, i dunno what does!

Not only that it is a formulaic children's book!
Here is the plot:
1. Book starts with Harry on vacation. (Does he still live with his shitty british relatives? If so he is miserable, otherwise this is irrelevant).
2. Harry goes back to school but there is something shadowy and foreboding going on.
3. There is a new teacher for that one class, no one trusts him. Hermione sucks up to all her teachers.
4. Something bad happens, people blame Harry.
5. Hermione starts going all Scooby doo, no one listens to her.
6. Harry wins at soccer or cribbage or whatever the hell it is he plays.
7. He gets in more trouble for mysterious shit, he starts listening to Hermione.
8. They solve the mystery but get in some trouble with something evil/bad. Voldemort stuff etc.
9. Harry wins not because he is smart or well prepared or anything like that, but because he is lucky and the hero of the book even though he is just a rich, dumbass, lucky jock.
10. Someone dies or whatever, character development yadda yadda.
11. Everyone loves Harry again, the end.
Mind you I only read like 3 of the books, but this seemed to be the general plot of all of them.
-
i believe he isn't going back to school initially in Part the Seventh. that said, the plots are indeed consummately predictable.
now if i wrote harry potter, the plot structure would be more like
1. harry is raped by his uncle and cousin in the basement
2. hagrid comes to save him and take him to the weasley's, but he is so turned on that he rapes harry too
3. harry goes to hogwart's, craps blood and semen on the train, mcgonagal contemplates casting a rectumo reconstituto spell on him but decides to peg him with her cock-shaped wand instead
4. ...
5. profit!
-
I'll find you, PD.

I think he'll go back quite early, if only to visit Dumbledore's portrait. After getting that advice, he'll no doubt stay for the semester. Here's what we know:
1. Harry will attend Bill and Fleur's wedding, which should happen pretty early on
2. His birthday will occur, after which point he will be of wizard age
3. The Dursley's home will no longer be safe, and they might possibly be targeted
4. Initially like you said, he won't want to go back to Hogwarts
5. After visting the portrait he'll change his mind
I forsee the 7th book being very similar to some of the latter chapters of HBP where Dumbledore and Harry searched for Horcruxes - like The Cave. That really proved that he can search for them while still attending school. If I had to bet, I'd say Remus will be Harry's mentor throughout the book, and take him on the horcrux searches. I'd also bet that on a full moon (when he obviously can't go) Remus will beg Harry not to go searching for Horcruxes without him. Harry will do it, taking his friends, and something bad will happen.
-
i bet there's very little remus at all.

i bet there's very little remus at all.
He'll play a part, as JK has said. The 7th book should see the end of the "original gang", Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot and Prongs. Remus and Peter are the only ones left, and I expect both will die. If Harry is to look for Horcruxes, we know The Order will be involved one way or another. We also know Grimwauld will still be used as HQ. So yeah...someone will replace Dumbledore as Harry's mentor, and Remus seems like the best candidate.
-
What about Nymphadora Tonks?
:-* Nymphadora :-*
-
I wouldn't be surprised if she dies actually. She was pretty depressed all through HBP :'(
-
Hermione will lose her virginity to Ron Weasley's "wand."
