Why does the black dude look so gay?
-
Such an awesome series. Now all I need is Matlock on DVD and I'm set for life.
-
GOd damn RIGHT, Frag. I cant wait for more FALL GUY tho personally!
Im waiting for news on Atlantis Season 3 but nothing so far :(
-

Atlantis is awesome, but not as good as SG-1. I like them both better than any recent Star Trek efforts, including TNG because that show is only good when its a Captain Picard episode.
-
Drinky: She's so old now tho, but she'll be moving over to Atlantis which is cool. Some OLDSKOOL SHIT
Frag: Yeah I agree. Stargate SG-1 took off where ST OS left off IMO, and Atlantis is fun cause losing the military angle allows them to have more personal conflicts and Comedy!
-
i like atlantis better, and i *think* my wife agrees. atlantis has better production values and more varied ensemble cast.
-
You'll like Stargate SG-1 Season 6-10 I think, they ditch a lot of the first 5 seasons formula I think. Also the production values shoot up around then too. Atlantis is living off of SG-1 money and fame, its gonna look better ;)

I agree about the production values. The cast is sorta uneven-you have dudes like Rodney who are just awesome, then you have other characters who are still sorta floundering after two seasons in (I haven't seen any of S3). Maybe some of them get better in S3?
The SG-1 cast was great and consistent all-around, though it was smaller.

how about that kurt russel stargate movie

Good lord MAF could not have worse taste in TV. :lol
-
you say hurtful things!
I watch tv for dumb fun, I like movies for my serious crap.
-
well, he could like sailor moon, so i think you're wrong on that front
stargate atlantis :heartbeat
-
I like movies for my serious crap.
like innerspace?
-
Unlock the Gay.
Stargay.
The only thing stargate ever had was macguyver and he doesn't even play macguyver. :-\
-
the vast qualitative gulf between stargate and the comic books you so avidly read, cyanista, is rather lost on me
dickfights over pulp genre content isn't really worth bruising one's taint over, as it were -- at a certain snooty level, it's all crap
-
This is so out of left field. I'd read practically anything over watching tv, sure. It's better for the brain, even if there are pictures.
We are talking about tv on dvd, but still! Stargate has zero redeeming qualities.
ps....I have no idea what Stargate Atlantis is. It sounds magical. :lol
-
it's all fantasy crapola for nerd consumption. there's nothing elevating about superhero comics, sci-fi television, jappy videogames, et all -- it's all genre media for BIG FUCKING DORKS (of which i include myself). random, unspecific bitching about maf's tastes in genre programming while indulging your own is pointless.
stargate atlantis lacks unicorns, but it does have gothy vampyre aliens!
-

Delicious, fun crap.
Stargate has zero redeeming qualities.
A good, novel premise (vastly improved on from the movie), a quality set of actors and characters, and a decent semi-serial plot when measured by genre standards-there are some good things about SG-1 if you're a total nerd like me.
It's not great, but to put it in the no redeeming qualities bucket (where stuff like the Wii, FoxNews, and online collectible card games go) is pretty harsh.

Posting on the internet is pointless.
but it does have gothy vampyre aliens!
No shit? That sounds like it has potential for awesomeness.
-
F U CYANISTA :(
-
U KNOW WHAT FUCK THE HATERS I'D WATCH SOME SPENCER FOR HIRE ON DVD
-
SG-1 rocked! fo'get yall! :gun
-
i think you missed the "random, unspecific" bit. nothing pointless about sharing specific opinions; it's how we pick up on opportunities and learn more about other interesting people! (it's also how i annoy the fuck out of folks, which i find wonderfully pointful [sic].)
-
FU ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL FALL GUY ROCKS!

Your revelation that he laughed at the suggestion to watch Simon and Simon said enough. If ever there was a clear indication of one's questionable taste in television, that most certainly is it.
MAF is seriously dead to me. For like a week.
-
myself, i enjoyed simon and simon, and their truck was ALMOST as cool as lee majors' :-*
-
STARGATE SG-1 ROCKS
:rock
-
RIGHT ON BRUTHA!
