Title: Answering an add in the paper for work? -- I'm new at this.
Post by: Madrun Badrun on June 11, 2007, 05:45:02 PM
does this sound ok just to get more info?  I'm a bit nervous, lol.

Subject : Job information
Hi, my name is Arvie [last name].  I saw your ad in the paper and was wondering if I could get some more details.  Do you hire eighteen year olds without their high school?  If so what kind jobs would be open in the evening shifts or summer positions?  I come from a strong woods craft background and I'm looking for work in that vain.

Your name is Arvie?  What kind of name is that?  ANd I think you missed the word "diploma" at the end of your second sentence.

It is.  it's Norwegian -- I'm named after my grandpa.  So other than putting in diploma it's good?

Awww, your name is so cyuuuuuuuute.  I like it a lot.

And yeah, demi is right, should be "vein."

I can't really say if it's good or not without knowing more about the position.  For a query I guess it looks okay.

to superior cabinets.  the ad sounds easy going and I assume summer employment means their looking for students.

Whiteman it's a long and stupid story but basically me and friends were on the roof of a catholic school and we were making fun of what if a catholic priest raped our church going friend, latter that night I needed a new email so I used father_mike and i hate using multiple names for things so i have kept it.

Well if you are just asking, then yeah just ask your questions. But make sure to run it by us so we can fix your errors.
planning on doing that.  I probably wont get it done for a week or two though as I want to get pictures of my fountain to add to a portfolio if i apply to wood places, which theres a few looking for people.

Ok so I'm just looking for questions  then this is ok?

Dear Sir or Madam,

I saw your ad in the paper and I was interested for some more details regarding your open positions. Is there a minimum age and education requirement? Is it also possible to get a more specific description regarding said positions? One more question, is there a particular time frame you are looking at regarding new hires? Coming from a strong woodcraft background, I'm looking to try and find a position in that vein, and any info regarding your ad would be beneficial to me. One more thing, I have been known to be a raving alcoholic.

Thanks in advance,

Arvie

Demi's is good but leave out the time frame nonsense.  Sounds lazy.

I know but I can't start working for two more weeks - until finals are done  :-\
