First impressions- colour me impressed particularly with the lyricism. Production top notch as always.
English running this rap-ish :gun
Okay not as good as I thought, track stands out:
Bubbles
Pussole
Sirens
Flex (reminds me a lot of the two step phase in high school in the late 90's :lol).
U Can't Tell Me Nuffin'
Where's Da G's (Ft. Bun B, Pimp C)
Really more of a commercial album me thinks.

:lol

Laugh all you want, sad truth is it's better than the new Talib.
-
I'm sorry, I can't take anyone seriously who thinks Dizzee is "impressive" lyrically. I would put Dizzee and the rest of his English buddies in the same pot as south "rap"
And Talib's album has some great stuff on it

I never said that. He's seems to make an effort to say what he's saying this time tbh. You remind of all these girls that go, 'but he raps too fast!'.
Talib is past his prime, much like most rappers from America. Simply put the UK has potential.
-
*yawn*
Not all of the UK is a joke, but if you think Dizzee is better than Kweli you're crazy. Hip hop is one of the few genres in which US artists are still superior to everyone else; in fact it might be the only genre like that. You'd be hard pressed to find any hip hop head who would agree with your bullshit

Don't take Michelle "Maroon 5" the Fibber seriously.

Yeah I learnt that a long time ago but I think he's half serious with this. ;)
Common, Talib, Mos are old and busted. Bring on the new hotness.

Yes, like they're the only rappers ::)

AKON IS BETTER THAN THEM ALL LOLOLOLLOLOO

Mos's left album was meh. Talib's is pretty good overall, and is his best solo work in years. Common's new album is shaping up to be great, and his last album (Be) is hailed as a classic by many. So yeah...
Not counting them there's guys like Immortal Technique and Brother Ali who are making great stuff. And Lupe is a rising star (he's not quite there yet).

Really I wish black people would invent the next new thing already.

Black people I thought I knew you. Next you'll be telling me black men don't have big dicks.

More of a fan of Wiley than Dizzee honestly... PD, quit talking down on UK rappers, the hiphop world is bigger than just NYC :P

I'll give you Mos and Talib, but Common is still relevant and as good as ever.

I already established that I don't have all UK stuff. But there's no way you can tell me that this grime movement has anymore credibility than crunk.

Well, I like crunk (and am sick of NYC rap, due to it being so overplayed where I live) so I might not be the best person to ask... but have you been reading any dance or indie music blogs at all during the past year? Even those snobs at Pitchfork won't shut up about grime... Not to mention, grime is seen as the latest (and arguably final) evolution of a style of music (UK breakbeat/hardcore) that's been around since the early '90's, and is still an underground scene (no big labels involved, barely any radio play aside from the pirates, a very "do it your self" approach to throwing events and releasing albums). That's certainly some credibility there.
-
Did you know that the word crunk was created in an online chat between Lil' Jon and Mike Jones? The conversation went a little something like this:
EastsideLilJon: Yo wussup dawg.
WhatsmynameMikeJones: Not much yo, jus chillin wit some bitches in my crib.
EastsideLilJon: That's cool, man. I was just wantin to know if you wanted to go out and get crunk tonight.
EastsideLilJon: Drunk*
EastsideLilJon: The C and the D are so close to each other I accidentally typed crunk instead of drunk.
WhatsmynameMikeJones: Yo son, that shit sounds hot. We should use that.
EastsideLilJon: YYYYIIIIIIEEEEEAAAAAAAHHHHH!
WhatsmynameMikeJones: MIKE JOOOOOONES!
That's not exactly how it went, but its pretty close to it.
-
Uh no. Lil Jon introduced that to the mainstream before Jones even existed on the scene

Oh I'm sorry. It must've been between Lil' Jon and Tupac. My bad, dawg.

What is grime exactly? Can someone give me some snippets?
Anyways, I hate crunk. Because I live in the south, that shit is way overplayed and I hate it. I hate the sound of crunk. The beats usually sound like shit.
-
Where's Da G's (Ft. Bun B, Pimp C)
What the fuck does that mean? Does he miss G too?

Where's the Gangstas? That track is basically crunk and grime but it is pretty awesome.

Nobody misses G I think.
Grime is simply rap to sort of drum and bass beats. Sorta.
Haven't heard Wiley songs expect that 'Wot you Call It' a few years ago, thought it was corny but I'll check it out his album now.
