Sicko comes out next Friday, right? I might as well wait and give the people who made the movie some of my money.

yeah it definitely deserves it.  If I ever go out to movies in the next month I'll probably watch it rather than the other crap.

Does it stay on topic or does it veer of into anti bush territory?

The movie opens with a crack on Bush (his comment about OBGYNs not being able to practice their love on women), but aside from that, it is fairly non-partisan.  Hillary gets knocked, too.  There's no good party when it comes to health care.

not really.  he's part of the government that condones health insurance companies screwing everybody but the main thing this movie bashes is health insurance companies and a few senators.

Yeah, FoC, think of it this way:  The movie isn't about the government fucking us over in regards to health care, it is about HMOs and insurance companies fucking us over.  Part of HMOs and insurance companies fucking us over involves their heavy lobbying and buying favors, and the movie shows that both Republicans and Democrats have been purchased by the industry.

Sweet, I cant wait to see it.

One minor thing. Does Moore really have to put himself on the poster for all of his movies. Jeez get over yourself dude.

Consider it advertising.  Michael Moore makes polarizing controversial movies.  With him on the poster, you can't say you weren't warned.

Fair warning, FoC, he does lay on the emotional manipulativeness at several points in the story.  That always strikes me as cheesy, even though when he's asking for anecdotes about health care, you know you are going to get crying people.  I never thought it was so bad that it ruined the movie or obscured its ability to provoke thought, but there are maybe 2 segments where it is laid on pretty thick.  PD would cum.

it's pretty effective though.  my wife who previously dare not watch a michael moore film strolled by during one of those gimmicky emotional scenes and sheds a tear.  now she's a fan.   :lol
