Title: My Name Is Methodis and I'm a rich man.
Post by: MyNameIsMethodis on June 18, 2007, 06:42:11 PM: So here's my story: I graduated this week. I get $700 in graduation money. Awesome.
At our school after graduation we have a Chem Free party where if you go and promise not to have sex or drink beer or smoke blunts or eat out a girl you can win a new car or all kinds of prizes. I won a alarm clock and a desk lap totalling $40.
At the Chem Free they gave everyone a gift bag. Inside was a $50 Wal-Mart gift card, $10 Applebees Card, $10 Exxon moble card.
Then today I get a letter saying Social Security will be writing me 3 checks for the grand total of $2000 because they don't think my mom is good enough to handle my money.

So in all, I made about $3000 for graduating. So far I've bought:

Wii:
Zelda
Excite Truck
Godfather

DVD:
Scrubs Season 5
Ladder Match
A Fistfull of Dollars SE DVD
For a Few Dollars More SE DVD

and now the rest (about $1500), I can't decide on if I should buy a MacBook or a paid trip to Disney World. What do you think?

BTW, I'm new. I used to post at that other place but I was banned for bashing JSR :(.

We'd sit down and look at their spending habits, and I'd always see them in a situation like the OP. Get a ton of graduation money, and blow it in literally two days flat.

My favorites were always the ones who spent $1,000's on beer. Nothing but beer.

I went to graduate school in Central Washington state, I think vodka was a little too foreign for them.
