Holla.
Comes out tonight, 800pts.
Ninja Bee summarizes Band of Bugs as this
(http://lunarduality.files.wordpress.com/2007/04/gameplaybanner2.png)
The single player campaign in Band of Bugs called Maal’s Story follows (appropriately enough) Maal, (pictured) a bug unlike others around him. And no, it is not because he is anthropomorphic and his buddies are all just normal bugs. Maal, along with his comrades, has been thrust into a battle against “The Dark One.” The story is effectively told through simple text panels with 2D animated character art in what is becoming a trademark NinjaBee look and feel. (Just imagine Maal here but with a talking mouth, Terry Gilliam style, and you get the idea.) Of course, the typical NinjaBee humor is also present in the story alongside the more serious tones of Maal’s journey from new recruit to hero.

OMG it's up, this game is tight. Achievements don't seem bad either.
-
Soon as MS fixes the 360, I am buying it...and I'm adding Band of Bugs to the list of gamethings I will buy.
-
Only 33mb, very nice package.
20 levels, multiplayer, level editor -- you can play custom levels online.
Graphics seem really basic, and the animations are rickety, and it has "rare-talk" (random mumbling that passes off for a language). You get awarded a medal based on your performance, there is an achievement for getting Gold on all the levels. Replayability.

I like everything I'm hearing. This is the kind of original content which I was hoping for when first heard about the online marketplace.

As far as an SRPG, it's extremely basic. There is no EXP for defeating enemies, but there is a Level for characters, maybe it goes up as you progress. There are skills, probably different per character and you earn more as you progress. You can use different weapons, at least the lead can, I dunno how you get more, I think you just get all these upgrades and build characters through the story, so you dont "grind" and such like a game as FFT or Disgaea. It's supposed to be a real casual SRPG, and that's what it is for $10.
Oh, and it allows use of the Vision camera, but what for I'm not sure. Probably to see your various people online, like Uno. There are also leaderboards to track how good you do the various levels and such.

Are there screens n stuff?
