Also, anyone that honestly buys games based on online reviews is kind of stupid. MAF likes Tenchu Z - see if he cares! Shadowrun is an excellent multiplayer game and one of the most popular on XBL, but it got trashed from IGN as well. I can only sum up people that buy games based on IGN ratings as this:

Funny story about the PDZ review. The distinguished mentally-challenged fellow who gave the game a 10 I believe, was instantly hired by Microsoft the next week. Hmmm.

1up/EGM reviews ARE a joke tho. Almost all negative reviews give no indication of having played the game at all. The .Hack//GU reviews from one up are baffling. They just sit there going 'MORE OF THE SAME IF U LIKE .HACK ORIGINAL U LIKE THIS ONE" when in fact aside from the story context very LITTLE is the same about GU.

PLAY THE GODDAMN GAMES JESUS CHRIST QUIT MAKING YER DUMB VIDEOS AND PLAY SOME GAMES

I think people are too forgiving of games with dark (freaky) themes like this.....

I dunno - I wanna see more impressions....

Im most definately picking up Overlord tomorrow - paid in mofo full.

EDIT: id also like to add the the 1 on 1 videos i saw of the multi player play made it look awful...

Perhaps its better in teams....the morphing looked to be annoying exploit hell....

Post by: brawndolicious on June 26, 2007, 10:24:42 PM: I have a feeling it'll go down to 20 soon. Or maybe they'll release the remake of Riddick with this game for $40 or something. That'd make it worth it. I mean both games are definitely worth replaying and the graphics are some of the best realistic fps graphics (or at least will be for Riddick) but each game looks very unique.

Post by: abrader on June 26, 2007, 11:07:55 PM: I ended up getting the X360 editon because of the few technical glitches on the PS3 version...(plus nobody could confirm or deny bloody online voice chat for the PS3 game)

So far I am loving it - glad the impulse buy pressure got to me...the game looks georgous - REALLY gets me excited for next gen silent hill..

Anyway - I need to get better at the game, I dont get the mechanics yet and keep getting shot up ;(

I also wish I had more ammo and better guns. The up close kills are amazing.

I havent figured out how to use the darklings yet...

I need to play it more, learn it and get it before I pass any kind of judgement...right now I git the 'fresh game hardon' too much to type anything subjective.

Some of the numbers you can call are hilarious including the one that's like, "Press 2 if someone is trying to stab you, press 3 if someone has already stabbed you and you are bleeding, press 4 if you are stabbing someone...."
