yes, i'm a huge Atari nut.
So - other than not having the tracball - how is the game not as good as its ever been? The remix game is just a fresh take on the old mechanic...altho i dont like the lightening anti missile weapon as much :( The daytime/night transitions, angle and different background are much liked here.

I understand.
At least the fundamental flow of the game did not change...it was never about aiming that ICBM missile with its straight line before and it isnt now..its about pointing and clicking a monemt before your shot needs to be at X/Y. the new 'lightining gun' graphic is a bit distracting, but you shouldt be paying attention to that anyway....

didn't the old game make explosions in the sky so you could actually hit multiple missles? I remember playing that (or a version of that) and it was a lot more fun.

the old game has it, and the new game has it too...

I'm pretty sure you have to hit exactly where the missile is. Did you just use the A, X, B buttons to shoot?

just started it up again, didn't notice there was a delay between when the lightning arrives there and when it explodes (explosion is white and hard to see against sky) so that you still have to time which base to shoot from like the last game.
