yeah. I've interviewed folks at AernaNet a couple timeas now for various mags, and one of the reasons they formed ArenaNet was to avoid the console development ghetto. Their thin client, backend distributed model might not play nice with console networking infrastructure.

Wipeout HD was awesome, and we got to see more of LBP... but there were too many freaking FPS games, kinda laughable how MS gets stereotyped for that. And no new FFXIII info, or info on NEW interesting PS3 games. I don't care about Infamous because I hate sandbox gameplay, just looks kinda like a Crackdown rip to me :P

All these shooters with bald guys - Haze, Killzone, Infamous, etc just kinda blur all together no matter if they are different or not. Our of all the FPS games, Call of Duty 4 is the only one that looks like it stands out to me. It's pretty amazing how similar these games look. Everytime someone makes a new "omg sci-fi monster" FPS game with soldiers, it just falls into the muck. That Haze game will probably bomb.

That Kane and Lynch game actually stood out to me more than most, not because it looks particularly impressive, but it was in a CITY with BUILDING's and there weren't big ass monsters shooting purple shit at you.

It has some overlap with Crackdown but is going in a much different thematic direction. Your point stands with Haze etc. but don't drag Infamous into this!

Many of us would always be ashamed to have bought PS3s at full launch price. Like I said before, the PS3's failure before the price cut was predictable.
