I'd fail the class and get expelled. That may be perceived as a loss.

You won't show up.  If you do, I bet you cry in public.

I don't think I've cried in public since elementary school.

where is the 'Malek will win option'?

Keep in mind that I'm rarely out of my apartment. Thus, I've had few opportunities to cry in public.

To be honest, I'd consider the first option a win. If I get through the hour (dear god don't let it be more than an hour), I'll be happy.

Why are you even going to law school if your first response to doing something in public is to start crying?  Shouldn't you aspire to things that better fit your skill set?  Envelope stuffing, maybe?

I think it would be more humiliating to wet your pants, pass out and then shit your pants.  That way when you wake up, you get to be told by everyone that you shit your pants after you were out.  If you did it before they would just assume you know you shit yourself and wouldn't feel the need to inform you that you did in fact shit yourself.

White Man, as you've pointed out, I have no marketable skills. I have a decent memory and I can write well, so I've had little difficulty with law exams.

Law isn't necessarily a public job; most lawyers never see the inside of a court-room. I just didn't think my social anxiety was going to be as bad as it's been.

Arvie, thanks for that.

My money is that you don't show up.

If you do show up, it will be an awkward experience, cementing the fact that you will never see what is under flannel girl's panties.

Just as well, once you get to be a lawyer, all you have to say is "I'm a lawyer" and can get laid that way.

what happens if you lose the moot court? do you fail at whatever required it or is it simply something that goes into your file but doesn't hinder your progress at school?

(the fuck is wrong with everyone? why am I the only person who voted "lose only"? smh)

Winning isn't important, but my overall performance is.

I knew you'd believe in me.

Just do like how they do it on TV:

Saunter in, generally act like a jackass, and yell "Objection!" as loud as possible, so that way the rest of the people in the room know you mean business.  Pretend to be emotionally invested in the case itself, gesticulating wildly to the defendant (or prosecution, whatever).

When in doubt, analyze some semen samples*

This case doesn't involve semen; should I bring a sample of my own semen to court?

I'd like to change my vote to the last optoin as well. You've got this thing in the bag.

Keys to victory:

-Yelling every point
-Slamming down large legal textbooks with a bang after every point
-Saying "Objection!" while smarmily rolling the eyes

I just had a dream where I sexually assaulted you on the court floor.  While you were facing the audience, I frisbied a Dungeon Master's Guide hardcover into your neck, and as you were gasping and dazed, I jumped over the barrier and crushed your nuts with my knee.  I then continued, depantsing you and removing your flannel panties, which you had been wearing to approximate what it must feel like to be the flannel girl.  The whole room was astonished as I did my business with your helpless body, but by the time I finished up, I had the court on my side.  Public opinion of you fell when after being ravaged, poop started leaking out of your ass, and onto the courtroom floor.  It was so gross that nobody would go near you to help you, and in the public's eye, you were more guilty than I was, since I had not left any biological potential-disease vectors when I did my thing.  Then I got in my bitchin' camaro and went and got myself a slice of cherry pie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on it.

So I showed up and everything went reasonably well. I developed dry mouth (forgot to add that option) and stumbled a few times, but nothing major. The judge is reserving judgment.

The metal detector to the court house went off as Flannel Girl was going through it. I was about to say "Strip search her!" but managed to shut up. If you're a cute guy, that comment is funny; if you're me, it's creepy.

congrats on it going well, but when will the judge rule?.

In Canada, judges like to give long written decisions. A Queen's Bench judge has up to six months to write his or her decision. Obviously, this isn't a real trial, so I'd expect to have it by April.

I'm starting to notice that you're getting excited about suing people, is malek finally getting interested in becoming a lawyer?

I've been watching Boston Legal for while now, so please do. Girls wouldn't be so offended by you sexually harassing them, at least that's what this show lead me to believe.

I think that follows my rule of last night

if i do it, it's creepy.

IIRC he was quite a character in other ways too

Going by wiki, he was polyamorous and a feminist.  And he died in the 40s, so he is totally OG in respects to both of those things.  So:

1. Feminist
2. Banged multiple chicks and convinced them he loved them all/pimp
3. Invented polygraph
4. Created Wonder Woman

I'd take any one of those accomplishments.  At this point I'll be lucky to live past 30 without getting any limbs amputated.

White Man, make sure love is in the DSM-V. It's irrational, disturbing and befuddles the mind.

Lots of research on love.  It seems at some point in the past decade they got an inkling that oxytocin and vasopressin have something to do with it, and the research seems to back it up.  They get referred to as "bonding agents" a lot now.  Off the top of my head, when you bond with someone romantically, you get high vasopressin/oxytocin levels for about a year to two years, which kinda maps up to the infatuation period in a relationship.  The obvious conclusion is don't get married if you haven't been dating for more than 2 years, since after that point, the high of love is gone and you're going to have to worry about whether you are compatible.

A small percentage of couples retain the higher levels of the bonding agents, btw. So true love does appear to scientifically exist.

And this is frontier stuff, so the book could be rewritten a zillion times in the next few years.

Dunno.  I'd imagine this sort of research is incredibly difficult to do.  Everyone has the bonding agents.  IIRC, men have more vasopressin and women have more oxytocin.  They serve other purposes--I believe they are both neurotransmitter and hormone.  Oxytocin, for example, is responsible for making women bleed milk out of their tits after they give birth.  Vasopressin does regulatory things around the body that I forget, exactly.

Look on the bright side. That's only about $275 USD! I probably spend double that, once cigarettes are accounted for.

Silly Love Songs, Malek?  That is likely the worst of the worst of McCartney's many crimes.  It's more healthy huffing gas until you pass out.

The lyrics are an unhealthy mix of honey, maple syrup, cotton candy, fudge, highly concentrated sugar cubes, and the blood of a flaming Oompa-Loompa, but the bass line is pure sex.

facial hair isn't really something to angst over is it?  you can just shave it off, or grow it back if you subsequently meet a different girl who fetishizes it.  if only other physical attributes were so easy to adjust to market demands.

Well, I would if I thought my facial hair turned off Flannel Girl. Speaking of her, she was the last thing I thought about before going to bed, the main subject of my dreams*, and the first thing I thought about when I awoke.

This probably sounds creepy, but I'm madly in love with her . . . or I'm madly in love with the idea of being madly in lover with her.

Although I'm a big Beatles fan, I never understood their obsession with love, whether romantic or fraternal. Now that I'm in love--or the combination of celexa and constant alcohol consumption killed all my brain cells--I can understand. The thoughts about Flannel Girl have pushed most of the usual obsessive thoughts out of my mind.

*I also dreamt about Willco. His brother kicked my ass (one of the Kentucky posse, the Redhead, saved my life)  and posted the ass kicking online. I have no idea why that interrupted my dream with Flannel Girl.

You're not in love with her.  It's probably in love with love.  It's just nice to have the feeling of being enamored with someone even if it's totally unreal.   Believe me it's better to nip it in the bud soon.  This is coming from someone who fell a sleep thinking of the same for like three years.

Also I missed my first Calc class all semester today.  Turns out it is on the same stuff as the only class I missed in Calc last term and thus never understood.  I really should have gone.  :'(

Speaking of pedos, I visited a Winnipeg detention centre on Monday, which is next to the court house. Pretty fucked up place. They have room for just 225 inmates, yet have over 400of them locked up. Consequently, inmates are forced to sleep on a thin foam mattresses on the floor, not  unlike Willco when he was living in SF.

The place is also a huge gang recruitment center. One of the guards admitted that general admins are often forced to join up with one of the many gangs in the detention center for protection. So you have general admins, coming in for a wide range of crimes--including many minor ones, who are forced to join up with violent thugs to commit serious crimes as soon as they leave. As a result, this place is only increasing Winnipeg's crime rate, which is already the highest in Canada.

edit: Note: Vince Li, the crazed man that decapitated a bus passenger and ate his eyes and heart, was staying at the centre, but was transferred before my visit.

I had another dream about Flannel Girl. In the dream, she told me that she had to have her ovaries removed and wouldn't be able to have children. I told her it didn't change how I felt about her. Then the dream got weird. Not good weird, but weird weird.

I've been having a lot of weird dreams of late, possibly because I've been fasting since Sunday. I'm actually not that hungry, but I feel a bit light headed.

I've repeatedly burned my face over the last couple of weeks while going on mid-afternoon walks, so I'm actually not pale.

I think I felt bad for eating an entire half gallon container of ice cream on Saturday in one sitting. (just reading that sentence makes me sound silly. I have a very all-on-nothing mindset sometimes.)

Shit! I have go downtown to review my court appearance with a lawyer at one of the big Winnipeg firms today. That won't be fun. I think I'll take off my glasses so I don't have to watch the video. DEAR GOD

But seriously, why not? It's a pretty simple experiment, and if it fails you can flex you beard muscle and have it back within 12-24 hours.
I'm not suggesting the beard doesn't work for you, far from it. But you have to admit it would be interesting to see if a couple of changes like that would increase her interactions with you, if only out of satisfying your curiosity.

Well, she realizes that her misguided ideals are unrealizable, and is instead trying to change the system from the inside. At least that's what Ms. Know-It-All, the one that doesn't like facial hair, told me.

WTF

I was actually thinking of going to class tomorrow, but it's been canceled because of workshops by the the Women's Court of Canada who will be reconsidering Supreme Court decisions from a female perspective. I don't think they're aware that there isn't a single female perspective nor are they aware that the current Chief Justice, along with 4/9ths of the Court, is female.

Filing a new case at the Cook County Chancery division had me reconsidering this whole law thing.

*Waits 45 minutes in line*
"Oh, this needs to be stapled, we don't have a stapler big enough for it here.  Sorry, bye."

*Runs across the street to 47th floor office where the stapler is*
*Runs back and waits 45 minutes in line*

"Oh, you don't have the cover sheet, it should only take a minute to fill out...which you can do over there. NEXT!"

*Waits 30 minutes in line*
*Spends less than a minute filling out a form*

"Here's your stuff, go to the Motion desk for your judge and room...oh right, they closed! Sorry! Bye!"

I thought they were bad in suburbs where I usually have to file stuff, but these chicks were brutal.

oh and I'm not quitting because when I practice my lackeys will do this shit.

We see our fears and everything
Our songs, faces, and second hand clothes
But more and more we're suffering
Not nobody, not a thousand beers
Will keep us from feeling so all alone

I'm fraudulent, a thief at best
A coward who paints a bullshit canvas
Things that will never happen to me
But at arms length, it's Tim who said
I'm good at it, I've mastered it
Avoiding, avoiding everything

But you are what you love
And not what loves you back
And I'm in love with illusions

So saw me in half
I'm in love with tricks
So pull another rabbit out of your hat

Here I stand head in hand
Turn my face to the wall
If she's gone I can't go on
Feelin' two-foot small

Everywhere people stare
Each and every day
I can see them laugh at me
And I hear them say

Hey! you've got to hide your love away
Hey! you've got to hide your love away

How can I even try
I can never win
Hearing them, seeing them
In the state I'm in

How could she say to me
Love will find a way
Gather round all you clowns
Let me hear you say

Hey! you've got to hide your love away
Hey! you've got to hide your love away

My expectations are that she either doesn't really know that I exist or, if she does, she's not attracted to me. Consequently, it's difficult to imagine a scenario where I'm devastated to the point where I snap and pull a Rosenblum.

Why did you decide on a female shrink, Malek?  I really couldn't imagine seeing one of a different gender than myself.

Rec, it's Flannel Girl who's the anarchist.

TVC 15, I didn't choose a psychologist; the school simply assigned me one.

edit: anyway I prefer a female. I'd be hesitant to show any vulnerability or weakness in front of a male counselor.

She's in her early forties. She has short brown hair, blue eyes. She has an average build.

She sits a couple of feet in front of me, almost never diverts eye contact, and usually has her legs crossed.

Have you tried looking up her skirt?  I saw up Welch's skirt several times last night in Star Ocean 4.  There's just this ugly-ass stretch texture where her twat should be.  The worst part is that you can see up her skirt like several times every cutscene she is in.  They should have textured some panties on her.
