Did you miss us? Well, we're back anyway. Doug has some PlayStation Vita impressions and commentary on Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, Final Fantasy XIII-2, and the Mass Effect 3 demo, while in between we all have misty water-colored memories of this waning console generation.
Segment One:
(2:35) Playstation Vita talk
(30:15) Reflections on this generation's consoles, speculation on next-gen systems and the big bad game lockdown
(1:26:00) Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning
(1:49:45) Final Fantasy XIII-2
(1:57:45) Mass Effect 3 demo
We'll talk to you again soon(ish)!

Nice, I'm interested in the Vita but I've been too lazy to read the reviews. Is MAF in this show?

I may or may not be really snarky around the middle of the show. If I remember correctly someone pissed in my cheerios that day and I might have taken it out on developers, nintendo fans, and sega fans.

IT'S.NOT.ANDROID. :maf

android sucks anyhow (and i should know), so there's no harm in ascribing a shitty ui to a shitty mobile os

I've been preoccupied, but I'm open for another show if folks want it

Finished listening to the podcast. Good stuff.
I too think that the PS2 is the best console out there. My biggest beef with this generation is that in spite of its long length, it still feels incomplete, like the best has yet to come. I know towards the end of the PS2, there was so much great shit coming out for it that it was hard to keep up. That and I felt like we were guinea pigs like Move, horse armor, PS3 updates that removed features, and just the general impression that we were beta testers on our own dime.
I blame the Wii.

Surprised at Drinky's Vita criticisms, especially being such a PSP fan. And Vita is basically a Super PSP.
