As this console generation wheezes and writhes and sputters towards the next, what's been your single favorite accessory/peripheral/attachment purchase? Without a doubt, mine has been this:

So useful, so compensates for Sony's idiotic decision to make the DS3 triggers curve inward. Best $5 I ever spent on two little pieces of fucking plastic.

This I guess, but only for the packaging, I still haven't actually used the controller :lol

Once I tried it at a friend's house, I had to get one myself. Now it's pretty much impossible to enjoy a racing game without using a decent wheel.

Wired Xbox 360 controller. I've been using it for years now to play console ports on PC, as well as various emulated games across multiple platforms.

Razer Orochi - Best laptop/Bluetooth gaming mouse ever IMO- worth all the moneys I had paid.

My Logitech MX518 is the only thing to come to mind. Great mouse at a reasonable price. I also bought some of those real triggers, and they're definitely an upgrade, but I think my cat batted them under something because they disappeared. Worst non-game purchase would be an easier topic, I bought a Move after all.

So jealous. Wish I could afford to drop the dollars on a top notch gaming wheel.
For me I would go with gaming headphones. They've revolutionized my gaming experience over the last couple of years. I've had a few different models of them as I upgraded.

Turtle Beach
I got wired X12s for Xmas and they're pretty awesome. :bow

yeah, i bought a dirt cheap pair of rocketfish gaming headphones which came with all the connectors to use on 360/PS3/PC, and even those are very comfortable and have decent enough sound

It might not be worth it unless you play a lot of racing games since they're quite expensive. Especially if you want a stand or seat to go with it.

Yep. So comfy even when worn for long periods of time. Ideal for shooters where hearing footsteps is an advantage.

I was looking for a CC Pro image on Google and this basically sums it up for me. It also works fantastically with SNES VC games (though not as well as I imagine that awesome Club Nintendo controller Hyoushi doesn't even use. :'()

The extra tightness in the stick helps with precision dodging in shooters. Plus it's sturdy as hell, so it won't break if you smash it. 8)

Going to post something no one else has otherwise I'd be posting the 360 pad with the d-pad or the 360 controller for windows.

Ah fuck it. I went ahead and bought myself a csr fanatec wheel and pedals. I figure $250 isn't too bad.
