Here's a site with lots of old Sears catalogs on it, it's interesting if you look at the '83 Sears catalog and compare it to the '85 Sears catalog in terms of videogames (83 is loaded with them, 85 is virtually empty).

1998 I got MGS for Xmas.

Yeah I got MGS, Xenogears and PE that Christmas. What an amazing year for videogames. (also PDS, FFT and Alundra came out that year)

I was 11. Didn't like Godzilla much; it was one of the few blockbusters I didn't like at the time
