Mosquitos.

Hot and humid days.

Fucking bugs everywhere.

I fucking hate it. I can't take a walk during day or night because it's fucking hot no matter what time of day. FUCK.

Hot, humid, even when it rains, it stays hot. It's like being stuck in someone's tighty-whiteys, right between the drenched cotton fabric and their hairy, ill-kept sac.

When I go into any given store, the A/C is cranked to artic temperatures, freezing the sweat immediately to my skin. Then, then next time I go outside, and begin to sweat again, the new sweat strains against the shell of outer, frozen sweat to double down on the overall moistness.

Being in the USA last year, and working in the SF/Bay Area, I was so, so happy each day to walk outside into the stark sun, the dry air, and realize for the first time in 10 years that summer isn't a four month exercise in endurance.

Seriously. I weigh about 165 and this southern Oklahoma heat is utterly abysmal. Over 100 for a solid month or month, humidity that's often around or above 50%. It's endless torture for anybody, regardless of weight.

I swear it wasn't this bad when I was a kid, but that could be purely anecdotal?

We've had very weird weather this summer: one minute it's raining hard, the next minute it's 90 degrees. Yesterday it rained hard as fuck for about 4 hours, today it's still storming, but within a couple days I'm sure we'll return to humidity :'(

Humidity is like when you feel you have to take a dump, but every time you sit down nothing comes out. Just a waste of time and a nagging annoyance.

I'm surprisingly mostly dry compared to the past, even mowed the lawn the other day and barely any sweat. It's cold weather that makes the real difference. 75 degrees ac on used to be my sweet spot, now I shiver if it's below 76.

Yeah, felt like we went skipping past spring in Osaka as well. Japan is also supposed to have a "rainy season" between spring and summer, but it has only rained a couple of days, and the rest of it has been hot.

We'd scout the neighborhood for single women, older people, and dudes who got home super late from work. One of us would cut the front as the other weed whacked, then we'd switch. I created a spreadsheet in Excel XP that tracked our daily progress, how long it took to cut lawns based on size, etc. Real nerd shit.

Today I cut my small lawn, and the neighbor's since he's still recovering from the broken foot.

Honestly I enjoy summer and winter yard work. Cutting lawns, shoveling snow, etc is fine with me; I can tolerate pulling weeds as long as the bugs aren't out. But the seasonal yard work I can't fucking stand is late fall leaves. I hate that shit... :pacspit
