I downloaded Charlie Murder. Do I dare start it?
Hey, he made the I Made A Game With Zombies In It game too, which was pretty much the best zombie game and final word on that trend which has of course still continued to lumber on like a zombie would.

Halo reach isn't great
What's monaco
co-op stealth/action game.
It's not bad.
Monaco is like boring Hotline Miami
I played it with randoms for about an hour. I hated the look, but it did seem like it could be fun with people you know.
I played up until the aquarium level, which I found super annoying. I switched to Battleblock Theater, which was free a few months ago, and it's surprisingly good!
I'm a freakin' idiot.
It only JUST NOW dawned on me that I should be "purchasing" the Xbone GWG offerings through xbox.com in preparation for eventually buying that console.
Rare indicated that, with the sequel, they have "perfected the food chain", increasing the variety of items which piñatas will eat and the results which will occur when they do.[9] This is intended to reduce the repetitive "instruct each piñata to eat every possible item" activity which was sometimes required in the earlier title.
:lol I bought SSX, too. I think it was only like $3, though.yeah, same sale I got it on as well. Hard to complain, less than a cup of coffee costs.
Three fantastic games across Xbox One and Xbox 360 will make sure you start your New Year off right. Xbox One gets the critically acclaimed indie adventure game D4: Dark Dreams Don’t Die (or D4 for short), while Xbox 360 gets off-road racer MX vs. ATV Alive, and the epic role-playing game The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings. As usual, all games are available only for a limited time, as part of the ongoing Games with Gold program – so find a buddy (or not), and jump in!
* D4: Dark Dreams Don’t Die ($14.99 ERP): Available from January 1-31 on Xbox One
* MX vs. ATV Alive ($19.99 ERP): Available from January 1-15 on Xbox 360
* The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings ($29.99 ERP): Available from January 16-31 on Xbox 360
Does the ATV game have any pedigree?
Looking forward to trying Witcher.
XBLA from several years back became very difficult to be profitable on. It didn’t help that MS never changed up the “store” element of the Dashboard to make things more easily located, nor was enough effort put into curation.
Now that digital downloads for Games On Demand are becoming almost concurrent with the retail release of many games, and the XBLA size limitation has gradually been ablated, there’s nothing other than brand to separate GoD from XBLA, and the brand has been devalued by its lackluster performance.
I think MS is no more or less greedy than any other corporation. I honestly attribute it more to a large, corporate bureaucracy failing to adapt to changes in a nascent and fluid market.
Actually, you know more about it than I do. I’ve not dealt with MS’ as a publisher other than establishing the initial publisher contracts. Per project, those negotiations took place above my pay grade, and friends who have dealt directly with them have fumed but been appropriately discreet about the contract and legal details.I think MS is no more or less greedy than any other corporation. While I never published directly on XBLA I've been involved in multiple talks with their publishing and legal teams over the years. One of the bigger changes I noticed is that their publishing contracts changed unfavorably in 2010. While contracts are always modified and catered to each individual company, 2010 was about when they started becoming overtly aggressive. Long story short Microsoft began adding unnecessary financial stipulations and often demanded platform exclusivity without much benefit to the developer, and even co-marketing options that was engineered to further reduce developer pay-outs.
The entire change was under the guise of "best market for indies" which was true the year before but 2010 saw a dramatic shift towards Steam and PS3 which rendered most of their argument invalid and grossly manipulative. One of the primary reasons you saw such a quick turn away in that time-frame and why a lot of heat was generated in the public eye in the following year by developers who were raked by Microsoft's legal team. There is a very concrete argument to be made that Microsoft is one of the primary reasons for Steam becoming the center of indie publishing.
We're basically making the same point, you're just a lot more courteous and erudite about it, lol.

It has been really interesting to see the re-emergence of a humble Sony as being so supportive of indie developers, attempting to regain that edge that they had in the PS1 era, when they were a new force, an underdog. And it’s been sad to see MS fumble their lead this generation, and behave so reactively, eliminating the features which could have really set the Xbox One apart from its closest rival.
I would comment, but I'm waiting for the sale!:maf
IDARB is a fun game that is completely useless to me since I'm not in college and don't have friends come over to play on my xbox. Wasted opportunity there imo.
Now that I'm considering a One I gotta pull your move Chrono and "buy" these games on Xbox.com :lol has that worked for you?Ironically, I have not yet bought an XBone, so I don’t know if it works or not. Logically, you are purchasing the games for the active duration of your Xbox Live Gold account, so they should stay in your library as long as you are paid up.

April:
http://www.trueachievements.com/n19765/april-games-with-gold-announced.htmQuoteAfter arguably one of Games With Gold's best months since its inception, just how would Microsoft follow it up? Well this April, to celebrate 100 million Games With Gold downloads, six games will be on offer to download. Before we get to those however, the usual reminder to pick up the excellent Rayman Legends and BioShock Infinite before they return to their normal prices next month.
To kick off this bumper month, let's start with the two Xbox One offerings for April. New release Pool Nation FX and Child of Light will be free to download on Xbox One throughout the entire month.
Moving onto the four Xbox 360 games now, the most recent Gears game, Gears of War: Judgment, and Terraria (Xbox 360) will be available from April 1st through to April 15th. Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag (Xbox 360) and Army of Two: The Devil's Cartel will then take over from April 16th until the end of the month.

Anybody playing Massive Chalice? Hadn't followed the game at all. I like the concept but I have no idea what I'm doing or the proper way to breed people and such.
I dig Massive Chalice. It's probably not hardcore enough for most of you guys who fall into the final fantasy tactics vein, but I enjoy it. Even though I've probably fucked myself on this first playthrough by fucking up things early.
edit: Yeah I'm fucked. I'm restarting. Ain't even mad about it.
That "So Many Me" box art labeling is stupid.
It is too hard to read.
DIRT 3 isn't good?
Seems like a decent month to me
You dont really like anything though.
the expansion pack is really good and definitely worth playingYup. And it fits in nicely with the game. They castroid you at the beginning, so you can try out a completely different build if you like. But I think there's an achievement tied to not picking up any augments.
Yeah the AI was straight poop and the game was much, much better with a Human partner. They improved it in the sequels though, I played GoW2 solo on Insane and the computer was good enough
Follow up SR4 with Peggle, brehs.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i7gIpuIVE3k

tower defense :yuck
I had the same reaction to the first Defense Grid. It was better than I thought, but it didn't turn me around on tower defense as a genre.tower defense :yuck
Did play some Defense Grid 2, actually thought it was quite good

Never even heard of the xbone stuff
Tron is actually pretty good.
It also requires like 3 playthroughs and has some multi you will most definitely need to boost.

Well, if theres one good thing about GWG is that it gets old games' multi going again and its possible to get the cheevos au naturel. With Dead Island I just joined random games and knocked out all the multi stuff
OT updated.
I've got both the GWG for 360, don't give a crap about the Xbone this month. :maf

Orochi is awesome.

Wow I really suck at SpelunkyEveryone sucks at Spelunky. When you finally git gud at The Mines, you'll suck at The Jungle, and so on.
Yeah, I saw the jungle today and was happy until I diedGet used to that feeling! ;)

Don't have time for Japanese jank right now.
Guess I suck at wwe2k16 too. Playing one on one match against John Cena as Stone Cold waiting for the full download and just getting rocked over and over. Rage quit
Super Mega Baseball is cool but it having no online play kills the game.
if you dont play sleeping dogs you can suck my fat dick
if you dont play sleeping dogs you can suck my fat dickThis can be read as a reward though...
Oh nice, Killer Instinct is kinda fun but fuck paying for more characters
Never got around to clocking my borrowed copy of Rayman so that's a sweet game to look forward to.
The Cave is one of those Flashback/Oddworld kinda games from what I heard? Worth playing?

I'm pretty sure that Gerstmann was fired for his review of the original Kane and Lynch game.
Finally get to play Bayonetta.
While one might think that corny lines and cheesy delivery are part and parcel of a low-budget outing like Deadfall, there's a difference between actors doing the best they can with the material they've got, and actors who don't even appear to be trying. The main character's voice is flat and lifeless, completely lacking any of the charm one would expect to see in a roguish hero. In fact, it's really saying something that another actor stumbling through an atrocious German accent comes across as more pleasant.
Deadfall Adventures has a glitched achievement. RIP Scenester
I got 1000 in Child of Eden. What's this super rare omg achievement?:applause

I'm a damned idiot.
I just looked at the cover and thought it was that damned yoga game from THQ, Leela.
I'll see myself out.
I kind of want to play army of two. The co-op looks fun, even though I know the game is not great.
Oh it has couch co-op? That’s awesomeIt's built for couch co-op. It's hilarious, because it's built around cooperation, but devolves into how to betray your co-op partner to lave, spikes, rolling boulders…
Downloading Plants v Zombies. Pretty keen on the sound of "Garden Ops" lol.
https://www.trueachievements.com/n36855/five-tips-to-get-you-started-in-plants-vz-zombies-garden-warfare-2
It sounds like theres sizable SP content which is cool, I'm gonna do what this article suggests, train up in singleplayer then try some multi.
Plants v Zombies is really good. Tons of content. I'm still figuring out the game a bit but multi is pretty fun and I've been enjoying just running around the SP hub and finding stuff.
Theres some really crazy cosmetic customisation options but unfortunately it seems these are all randomly locked in loot crates which is a shame as I want more shit specifically for the CornCob character. Looks like you can get everything just by playing and theres nothing locked behind the microtransactions.
I’d eat the corn out of its shit:kobeyuck
I need to visit someone's backyard and kill them for a couple of achivements lol

I aint played it lol. Will check it out
???
I could buy it right now on ebay for 10 bucks.
NG3 was released unfinished; many combos weren't yet programmed into the game, there was only one weapon and one Ninpo despite having selection menus for both, and many game mechanics were missing. Master Ninja also ran at a very low FPS (around 10 at times) and so forth.
Razor's Edge is the completed game. All of the missing things in NG3 were present, framerate was high and stable, graphics were cleaner, much more content, etc. It's the final version of the game. Think of NG3 as a beta that was accidentally retailed, whereas Razor's Edge is the completed product as always intended. And it's good. Not as good as NG 1 or 2, but better than Sigma 2 by a lot.
Ninja Gaiden 3 sucks
Ninja Gaiden 3 Razor's Edge does not suck
Gonna force myself through Bolt for the easy gamerscore :bowBolt is fun.
Tembo looks fun
Guess it's one of those weirdly competent tie-in games someone actually put effort into?Pretty much. I played it to 875/1000 GS, so I must have liked it enough. I remember some fun puzzles.
That was my feeling as well. Huge number of people feel it is a legit old-school revival platformer, but I couldn't get into it.
