Maybe every once in awhile it isn't a problem but consistently having 15 drinks a week? That is a lot. 15 drinks a week would put one in the top 20% for drinkers in the US. (obviously many in the top 10% are severe alcoholics at 10 drinks per day on average. )For males, regularly having more than 15 drinks per week means one very likely has an alcohol problem.
That's not really that much. You could hit that with 1-2 beers a night and one weekend night where you drink 4-5.

Had some sort of stomach flu for a week+, stomach feels knotty, always nauseas and no appetite. Nothing’s seemed to help, so today trying out my dad’s old remedy of “drink a lot of alcohol and it’ll kill whatever’s bad inside”, cracked open a nice bottle of white wine and been drinking it. Dunno if it’ll work but definitely feel better atm thanks to the alcohol so :yeshrug

Was not in a good state last night, sitting outside the club, friends inside and i was stuggling to keep my head up and my eyes open. Hibiki is about US$40/bottle here at ¥4500. Yamazaki and Hakushuu are about ¥4000, and the entirely unimpressive Chita is ¥3800. There are some regular whiskies which are cheaper, for sure, but I don't mess with them. I've had a fair amount of the tasty Nikka Black, but it is a guaranteed hangover.
I'm happy Em has a hooch she enjoys. It's not for me, and every bartender I've discussed Chita with has been unimpressed by it, so I thought it was universal. Which is her favorite of the ones you listed?

Drank Mead yesterday and was different than I expected. I think I first knew of it from American Gods where they seal contracts over it and in that the main guy drinks it and it tastes awful and is super strong and hard to go down.
So I was expecting some rancid stuff, but uh it tasted pretty delicious? Like a honey flavored wine which is sweeter and better tasting than wine? Also didn't seem crazy strong, probably about on par with wine. Why don't they serve Mead anymore in modern times at bars/restaurants?
