Not sure if they still do. They published the PSP ports of the PS2 Tenchu games and Tenchu 4 in Japan (Ubisoft handled Western versions, IIRC), but original devs Acquire came back to do Tenchu 4 and K2 developed the previous games. I'd love to see a new Tenchu -especially since Tenchu 4 was supposed to have been the start of a trilogy- but I doubt that's what this is.
If you want to play something kind of similar to Tenchu, BTW, check out Aragami.

Bluehole was the team that initially worked on Lineage III for NCSoft. Then they got shitcanned, took their work with them, and released what they could salvage as TERA Online. Got sued by NCSoft, lost I think, but still managed to carry on. Made a lot of money off of TERA, bought a bunch of studios, including Ginno. Ginno had worked on a themepark/ Diablo clone hybrid, Devilian, that was then released under Bluehole Ginno. It's not bad, but kinda generic, and tanked and was shut down shortly after launch in most countries (Trion did the Western release, I think that one's still up). So Bluehole had a pretty large useless studio sitting around all of a sudden. They approached Brendan "PlayerUnknown" Greene, the creator of the Battle Royale genre. Dude wasn't originally a game developer (I think he was a photographer), started modding games after a failed relationship left him stranded in Brasil. He agreed to join Bluehole Ginno, move to Korea, and make a full dedicated game out of his original idea. Bluehole Ginno has since been renamed PUBG Corp and is basically Bluehole's golden goose now. Bluehole proper recently announced A:IR, a pretty typical post-Black Desert Korean MMORPG, published by Kakao Games. That's why some gaming publications called A:IR "the next game by the PUBG team".

Yeah, but they are certainly improving. It's pretty obvious Geoff is listening to what the fans want, and the show gets better every year. The last thing I still can't get over are the phantom awards. You know, where Geoff just announces a couple of winners after a commercial break. If it's not even important enough to get a proper announcement and laudatio, why should I (or anybody else in the audience) care? Fuck, they even hyped the cooperation with Tencent and the realtime translated syndication in China, then announced the winner of Chinese award with no fanfare in the pre-show. And some game I never even heard of won. But we didn't even get a video or anything. That's just stupid.

Not a fan of Geoff, but I gotta say he didn't overhype this for maybe the first time in his life. I was expecting things exactly like the FROM non-announcement to be the best he'd get, then mostly indies. Now I think I'll get Soul Calibur. Witchfire is a rare FPS that looks interesting to me. Switch still looks terrible in the near future, but at least it now has a bunch of things in development that might make it a good purchase when the revision comes. The setting of Death Stranding looks good, apart from the babies weirding me out way too much (and of course 'no gameplay' lol). I'm glad I didn't buy the Zelda season pass though :holeup

Can't say I could stomach any of his bullshit after MGS1. Most other gamers could withstand his quirks for longer, at least while he was still somewhat being kept in check at Konami. However, since he is now free of those constraints, he probably won't be able to release anything decent. It's the curse of these creative types, they need a foil. And nothing points to him still having such a limiter.

He's made Zone of the Ender (whose gameplay I hate) and that GBA game that needed sunlight. Either way, there's some interview out there in which Death Stranding sounds like MGS5 (open world action with different options to tackle objectives).

I haven't touched my Wii U for about a year. I have Mario Kart 8 and Zelda on Switch and I fucking hated Xenoblade X (I absolutely love XB1 and 2). Super Mario 3D World and Captain Toad run fine on my PC via CEMU....so selling my Wii U Gamepad and extended battery to go towards a Neo Geo seemed like a good idea
