Do mods even follow up on reports here anymore? I do my part as a responsible citizen of bore and nothing, not even a call to let me know my work is appreciated or acknowledged.

Just noticed you can report your own posts.

I'm going to start using that to let the mods know when my posts aren't getting enough likes.

Goodreads has (had?) this feature where you could challenge yourself to read X books in a year and when you did you got a badge on your profile to show off. In my first or second year there I discovered you could challenge yourself to read 0.5 books and the software would round down to 0, then give you the badge automatically. (If you answered 0 it would be rejected by the software.) Racked up 3 or 4 badges off that before they fixed it. 8)

I think it's because there's a common misconception about how to interact with mods.

You're not supposed to message them, you're supposed to massage mods.

At least that's my working theory. Sadly, Massage-over-TCP/IP isn't a thing yet - and frankly, if it was, we'd probably all lead much better and more comfortable lives anyway, relegating the mod activity issue to irrelevancy.
