Might get Trials down the line, but it's Ubi, so who knows if I can even play it offline  :lol :sheik

Throwing shade at crackdown by calling it multiplat.

I don’t really care about any of these games.

Anno ain't out in FEB you liar!

Ah, looks like it got bumped back a couple months just within the past day or so.

Throwing shade at crackdown by calling it multiplat.

It's launching on PC, too, so... :trumps

I'll do the same thing with Metro Exodus I do with all the other Metro games: buy it on a Steam sale in a year or two

Will this finally be the time I hop on the Phoenix Wright bandwagon? :thinking

Good time to. The original trilogy are the only games that are truly worth playing in the series anyways.

Eye mean....it's on your phone. TBH this on so many systems that worrying about a switch version or something is unnecessary. The trilogy also looks like poop since going HD. Playing on your phone (vertical mode) makes the graphic art look similar to the original sprites and is better. I watched the trailer and it makes the art look even worse than the original than ever.

Compare:

vs

The lines and and stuff, on a big screen, look awful compared to the original sprites.

So you might as well just buy it on 3ds or ios.

I agree the sprites are ace. However the Switch version screenshots look pretty slick to me. Less gaudy than the touch version maybe?

:idont

Edit- Looks like the phone/touch/HD(?) version has weird filtered/upscaled backgrounds, while the Trilogy has completely redrawn backgrounds maybe? And obviously the UI/HUD is much better in the new one too.

IDK. Mobile version allows two modes as well: landscape and vertical. I prefer playing in vertical because it's like playing the ds versions.

But either way, you're getting some classics. AA3 is an all time classic.

I wonder how anthem will do. It just looks boring to me.

I keep forgetting that it even exists. And January just feels like a weird time to launch a major new IP like this. Maybe it really takes off, but I feel like it's a flop in the making.

reading the anthem thread on Ree is just a daily reminder of how fucking idiotic it was to push Frostbite across all EA games

I dunno, I enjoyed Miles Edgeworth: Ace Attorney: Investigations. But Apollo Justice was pretty weak.

I haven't gotten to Dual Destinies and the other one just yet.

That's why they're launching it in February

 :rollsafe

It had a lot of buzz when it was debuted, but I just feel like no one has seemed excited about it since.

I sort of forgot about metro exodus too. It at least looks good thoufg.

There's some stuff missing from this list.  :punch

To finish out January, I'm gonna get Dragon Marked For Death and Fate Extella Link (J) for Switch next week.  Fate isn't due out in 'Murica until March and the Japanese version  runs in English...so not gonna wait.

Gonna pick up BlazBlue Central Fiction for Switch on 2/7 and also have that Girls Und Panzer DX game from Bandai Namco pre-ordered for the end of the month.

Will get Crackdown 3 for PC if it actually releases in Feb.  I doubt it.   :doge  Might get Jump Force.  It would be nice the fucking beta worked, Bamco.  Also might try Reverie: Sweet As Edition.  Oniken and Odallus are out on consoles in Feb too, and Aragami is hitting Switch on 2/21.  And will likely get Roguelite/animu game Remilore.

Is that Anthem demo coming out for non-preorder plebs? Kinda curious about it, mainly cause I still want Bioware to make good games

I'd like to try a demo too, but even if I like it, I'm not buying this at release.  Going to wait to see how things go with it unless reception is overwhelmingly super-positive for it.  I just expect EA to do something dumb to fuck the game up at this point.

I saw a demo available for download on Xbox live last night. I’m guessing it’s the preload.

Preordered

Trials Rising
Far Cry: New Dawn
Metro Exodus

Might spend a dollar for the month of Game Pass to play Crackdown 3. Still waiting on something about the game to make me want to foot that dollar.
