Title: I survived a highway crash

So I was rear ended on the highway today at 140 km/90mph as I was driving 110 - 120 km or so.
When I noticed the speeding maniac approach in my rear view mirror I hit the gas also, reducing the speed difference between our vehicles.
Alas, I was launched ahead quite a bit when he crashed into me but I managed to keep control of my car and bring it to a standstill after 500 meters or so evading traffic.

When I got back to my senses I stepped out of my car and walked back to the scene and the lights that had appeared. Luckily the other driver was also unharmed.

The back of my car is all fucked up. Hopefully it can be fixed bit I fear it's totalled :'(
The medical staff told me that I would be sore tommorow. But so far I'm feeling fine considering.

If my car wasn't build like a tank I would be dead. The other dude got lucky with his airbags.

We were quite civil about the whole thing and the police was genuinely surprised that I got away unscatched.
These sorts of accidents are usually fatal or leave permanent disabilities.
