Quotes from the subjects of that thread, yes

If we open up our newsfeed to offsite posters we will find that our domestic quote production will be outcompeted and eventually shuttered.  Our local quote economy will collapse and bring the whole forum down with it.  As a 31 yearold bore poster, I'm too old to be retrained for Resetera.

Quotes like

should stay as a reminder of the Bore‘s collective identity and shared experience as a GAF offshoot. :blessup

And because I think it’s funny.  :doge

Real talk I keep seeing shit like overly long quotes. For years we've done "newsfeed" specifically for BORE posts. It feels like some of the mod staff don't get the very forum they moderate. We do not newsfeed for offsite quotes. We do it for this site to memorialize hilarious/bizarre shit that come from US and us alone.

Very, very haram to go and make offsite quotes into the newsfeed. What are we without strict newsfeed rules? We're one ban warning short of PURE ANARCHY.

I am protesting the inclusion of offsite quotes as newsfeed by using a SIT IN. Until they are removed I will ONLY post in this thread!

When I was a kid and my family lived in London, my friend's mom made "peanut butter sandwiches" for tea time so I'd feel more at home.

They were open faced sandwiches with peanut butter on top of either butter or mayo (I was like six and it's hazy).

Someone several pages back suggested having Mods for the Mods, essentially an "Internal Affairs" group. I was laughing to myself thinking this is an overkill, but on further reflection NeoGAF/ResetEra are basically the size of a large virtual city that's as diverse as New York city if not more.

How is this newsfeed worthy? I mean, you could cut it down to this:

Quote
NeoGAF/ResetEra are basically the size of a large virtual city that's as diverse as New York city if not more.

But the whole thing?

Harassing a person because they play on wi-fi should really be a bannable offense on this forum.

You want to bring up how certain credentials makes others invalid of critiquing how other may be misinformed, as if an MBA from MIT specializes in international social media norms. Let's hop in a group message with some mod and post some info. I can possible refer you to my employer after you get this work.

That's a good example of recent additions that just quote too much, there's barely a punchline in it and you have to know about the THQNordic/Child Porn conspiracy (I think?) that ResetERA.com convinced itself of and literally no one else cares about for the line about "we've been the instigating, central point" to have any effect.

It's probably better with just the first sentence about Era policing the industry. Like the one about it having the diversity of NYC that Cindi edited down earlier.

I'm generally more lax than this thread about offsite quotes in there, I think there's some decent ones, but I agree that some of the recent additions seem like too much has been quoted and some maybe need too much background info. Like the one about having "mod contacts" is a ResetERA.com quote I think, but it works because everything you need to know is in it, you don't need any further info for it to punch.

The 'big' losers of the Bore keep uploading offsite quotes. While completely ignoring our own
far better contributions that are far better. I would end it so quickly!

Peanut butter + honey doesn't sound very good tbh, very messy too.

almond butter and honey, now there's a winning combo

Again the administration shows they have no respect for the forgotten men and women of the Bore
who've worked so hard for their posts only to be treated unfairly by bark and the other dogs

Honey comes in bottles.

You tilt the bottle and just make some lines. No mess, no need for a knife or anything.

But then sometimes I put too much close to the edge and it drips, you don’t need to judge me for this  :'(

I guess a big problem I've got is so much in the past, things were done based on community census. If we wanted newsfeed, someone would say it and then we'd all click like if we agreed or we'd all spam "newsfeed". In the past adding smilies was a community process. If it was good, we beg the mods to add it. Now it feels like Bork or whoever just adds things without going through the community and so much of what he's adding is from the shit thread, which many of us don't even read. So now we feel ignorant on what's going on in our own forum, which is used to be a tight knit place.

No bueno.

But then sometimes I put too much close to the edge and it drips, you don’t need to judge me for this  :'(

Because of this post, I got some strawberries out the fridge and poured honey on them. No mess, and ate them with my fingers.

Also, I posted in the shit thread only to post SA news. I hadn't posted there in months to a year. Nor did I read it.

I am neutral about off-site quotes. I only care if they are funny or not.

But more emotes is always better :bolo

The neglect of our moderators has taken its toll. Our threads stand barren in cyberspace, our likes are depleted and the best of our members are leaving in droves or have been banned.

OK, I removed all (or most of them?).  So I guess enjoy having less newsfeed quotes.  Yay and stuff?
