I need a clip of gameplay with voice acting. VO will absolutely change the mood of SMT3, most likely in a positive way. There's something about the quiet of SMT3. In a time when every rpg series started to use voice acting, SMT3 (and a few lone others) was unique in its lacking of voice acting. But for those other games, it didn't really add to them the say way it did in Nocturne where often you're met with chilling music and a simple text scroll noise, which further gives to the feeling of isolation and dystopian horror. I lovvvve that text scroll noise in that game. This is all dependent on the actual quality of the voice acting of course. But there's much potential it can add much to the game as much as it could take away. Hopefully there's an option to mute in case it doesn't work. :)

Hopefully they'll also remake 1+2 and If.

In the first video he didn't fully heal the MC. It looks like he has not fully buffed his MC to protect against physical attacks, and needed to summon another demon in order to heal, which wastes a turn summoning. Big mistake. Horrific mc skill management considering it's game over if he dies.  If you need to summon in order to heal your character at that point in the game, you've fucked up. Always put a heal spell on MC. That way, he could have healed with MC and then attempt to get a crit with Dante to extend the press turn. Also, Repel Physical.

I actually didn't realize the original didn't have VA when watching the trailer.

I guess that's cool. Having it portable seems like the bigger deal.

Nocturne is probably one of the hardest JRPGs, but that's why it's so good. Also yeah I forgot the original had very little if any voice acting.

I had no problems with this game at all. I suspect it was most people's first game in the series, so they weren't familar with the systems enough. Shit like Devil Survivor and og Strange Journey got way more insane difficulty-wise.

Matador is a difficulty spike, but once you learn that he's weak to Garu and start to notice there's a bunch of wind demons right before him he becomes a piece of cake. Since levels in SMTIII don't matter (you can still get wrecked by an Angel that's 10 levels below you on the world map) it becomes a pretty good, defensive battle. I have always found Ikebukuro more challenging than Matador. Matador is standard jrpg reconnaissance, then use weak point gameplay.

This is one thing that's very unique about SMT3 and why it fucking rocks. Always on your toes. No places are safe. Godlike.

Probably my favorite dungeon crawler of all time because of it. Usually dungeon crawlers have safe spaces for you to rest, like returning to town to buy weapons or something. But not SMT3, you get into fights even in town.

Have you read about the other stuff? Like increasing the loading for each demon when sorting through them. They super fucked this port up from what I'm reading.

Porting Atlus PS2 stuff should be such a slam dunk. You know, I really enjoyed Persona 5 and even TMS, but I feel like Atlus has kind of really failed the console HD transition. I know Japan in general struggled, but pretty much everyone outside of Konami(who just gave up) has really pulled through. Koei, Capcom, Namco, Sega, and even Square are doing a lot better since the dark days of the PS3. Take away Persona 5(admittedly a big deal) and Atlus looks pretty bad. Like honestly there should have been a DDS, Persona 3/4 and so ports by now. On PC, PS4, and Switch. Like can you not get Hexadrive or somebody to do this Atlus?

Maybe they'll fix it until the Western release? :mysterio I already have the game, but only digitally, so the only reason to look forward to this release would be to have a decent physical version.

Yeah, maybe.

Sometimes I think Atlus is really fucking weird. Then I figure they just have shitty programmers and they've never bothered to hire better ones. They've always struggled on the tech side. Which makes a little sense given they were a small company like Nippon Ichi/Falcom and only really blew up more with Persona 3/4 and maybe never expanded their tech skills.

PS4 rating is half a star higher on amazon jp, but I heard the reviews say the same complaints? No idea how reliable that info is though.
