100 games on the switch :titus
i have a switch and i barely touch it. i hate the standard controllers. want to get back into though so i just got a pro one (p pricey, but hopefully gets me to play it more), and a 4 port gc adapter for $10 for smash bros. gc adapter seems great so far. have a bunch of pretty mint gc controllers incl. 2x wave birds. can't find 1 of the adapters for a bird though.

Switch is certainly my favorite Nintendo system. As someone who doesn’t care about typical Nintendo stuff like Mario and Zelda, there’s lots of other stuff.

For me it's largely being able to play games docked and handheld that has kept me purchasing titles for the system, not exclusives. In some cases, a game might also be on PC, but not Steam (if that matters to you), or it just might be shitty on PC due to performance issues.

Fast RMX is still fantastic! Great arcade-style racer.
Had a lot of fun with ARMS and hope it gets a sequel one day. I played it way more than Smash, lol. It can be played with the joycons and some waggle-style stuff, but thankfully you can turn all that off and play it normally.

We've picked up Animal Crossing and Pokemon Sword for the kid, Super Mario U Deluxe for the family, and I'd love to get Odyssey, BotW, Xenoblade, Astral Chain and Daemon X Machina.

Gonna give another rec for Octopath. I know a lot of people were disappointed in that the dungeons were a bit formulaic in design, and that the characters don't interact with each other... but the graphic style, music, and especially battle system, were all fantastic. I think people were expecting it to be like a new FF6 but instead it was more like Romancing SaGa or Live A Live...

I thought it was ok too, but really lacked focus. They clearly wanted some non-combat sections, but honestly the writing and scenario were so horrible, it just sucked. Level design and art for the combat areas was also dogshit.
Basically they needed to remove all the NPC and investigation garbage and spawn enemies in the city areas to let us fight more often. And who the fuck asked for a silent anime sex doll protagonist? Especially with such a focus on these melodramatic anime cutscenes and your character just standing there silently in their party city pink wig like :pika

You're not going to see big price drops happen anytime soon with some of these games, plus the Switch being big with collectors means some games will just keep going up in price once stock from bigger retailers is depleted.
