Just mowed my lawn. That shit sucks filler's massive hog.
It's not even summer here yet and it already needs mowing weekly...and don't get me started on hedges and fucking trees that need trimming.
I fucking hate ruining my weekend vibe with this shit.
Is there a more thankless home owner task?

Get some snug in-ear buds and put on a podcast. Makes it a much more pleasant task.

Get a robotic lawn mower or make/adopt a kid to take care of the chores around the house. Whichever is more economical.

that's why I just drive over it until it gets too high to drive over and my car gets stuck and I spend an hour feebly shoveling myself out of the problem I made for myself

Got gifted a lawnmower. Gonna be a new thing for me. It's an electric push mower and the grass can be mulched, so shouldn't be too bad. Plus the back yard is pretty small.

I'm strongly considering an electric mower. Probably going to go with the Ryobi One+ system cause I already have some of their power tools and I hate having multiple chargers and different batteries lying around.

I've got an Ozito one and it's great. Hated running out of petrol mid mow.

What's the benefit of electric over petrol? Are they just as powerful?

It's more convenience (not having to get petrol/gas), quieter, cleaner, better for the environment. Plus you can re-use the batteries if you buy into the same ecosystem. Some of the expensive models are pretty powerful, just depends on the amount of grass you're doing.

A week of solid rain followed by two days of summer sunshine meant grass was verging on jungle.
Mowing damp grass is a shit job made shitter.
