It is about as possible as beating TMNT without continuing. FUCK YOU SEGA YOU CUNT DO ANYTHING RIGHT!

I use to do it all the time at the arcades. GA is one of the easier games to do that with. The key is jump slashing at normal guys, magic the shit out of the bosses, and use the dragons.

Not even with the Dwarf? My skillz were mediocre but I remember not using too many credits with the Dwarf's jump and chop move.

How could you "magic the shit" out of anything? The other two tactics I can see, but with magic, isn't it always you use it once, you blow your whole load until you get more?

If you plan your magic use effectively, you can magic the shit out of the bosses at the beginning of the fight, then finish them off with the dragons without taking one hit. Especially if you use Valkyrie, she will take a huge chunk out of the bosses with her huge magic gauge.

Yeah, sorry TVC I used to do this before as well back in the day. Also, the arcade version is easier if I remember correctly- the game stops at the castle gates instead of you going in and fighting another Death Adder, right?

I love Golden Axe so I had to play thru it once.

That bit at the end with the narrow walkways over lava and the flying mages is a bitch...slowdown mega...

Im glad to learn this XBLA version is the arcade - ill buy it tonight as currently I only have the Genessis version on a collection disk (PS2 and PSP) but I want this XBLA game - so cheers to the thread.

This illustrates my problem with XBLA and VC. Quit giving us shit that everyone has played 100 times over ... do something interesting like porting Golden Axe II instead. That machine wasn't as wide spread as GA I was. Plus, it looks better and there were more characters and new enemies .. etc etc.
