by an hp pavilion V6000 then, and kick the ram up to 2GB and add the nVidia 7200 Go 256 card. any of the core 2 duo procs will suffice. it'll run you about $1K at the end, and it'll run WoW well.

core 2 duo is lightyears faster than an oldschool a64 -- megaherz doesn't mean crap anymore. a 1.8 ghz core 2 duo will suck your balls dry and slip a finger up your mobile performance butthole, and any clock increases are hot buttery fuck gravy over the whole thing.

ichirou I have looked at vaios and they are waay overpriced for any laptop with similar specs is usually hundreds less. its a shame. I also read their batterys are abnormally priced as well. No thanks.

14in screen, core 2 duo, nvidia 8400m. Options for 12 cell battery, which from what ive read= 4-5 hours.

I really just want to play the odd FFXI or HL2 game, nothing fancy.

it's pretty sex, although it's the turion 64 x2 w/ integrated graphics (GeForce 6150 256 MB discrete) and 2GB RAM. i'd part with it for $800 -- i got a killer deal on it, but i want something with more gaming punch.

go to the sonystyle website and configure a laptop with bluray, they force you to choose a processor that can handle said drive.

Gaming Labtops:

VoodooPC's labtops look nice but they're expensive.  Same thing with Alienware.  Also, Alienware's quality seems to have gone down since it got purchased by Dell. 

Practical Labtops:

Toshiba is the best value.  IBM is the most expensive but also the most reliable.   IBMs are also ugly though.

Flashly labtops:

Sony and surprisingly Acer.  Acer usually makes cheap shit but their Ferarri labtops look pretty cool.  Also, Apple makes great looking labtops but mac software sucks.   However, TVC can probably teach you how to install vista on the Apple.

They did, but very little of the manufacturing ops have changed from what I understand. They are still pretty much the best laptops for corporate day-in-day-out beating. Shit for gaming, though my T60 does play Civ4/Galciv2/EU which is all I ask of it.
