Warhawk Retail is actually the beta patched?

Don't bother buying the retail version of Warhawk if you played the beta its basically the exact same game minus the freezing.

The only difference I noticed was they made it easier to rank up and now you get awards.

Everything else is the same. The beta had all the maps to so nothing new in the retail version.

Even the file size of the download is the same size as the beta.

Am true? Paying retail for a beta? lols all around

Where's that from? There's a few obvious changes that show that it's not the beta. The UI is cleaned up a bit, some of the options have changed, and there are some changes to the balance. Some of the animation zones are different, etc.

The code shouldn't really change size...it's the same stuff, just with gameplay balances and tweaks. That's...what a beta is.

My copy isn't here yet, but the beta was fucking awesome, and while I doubt it's identical minus the freezing, I'd be fine with that.

Well COD4 "beta" only has 3 maps in circulation, at least I know I can expect more when I buy retail.

This? It is the same maps. Nothing even new? Was there even anything "locked" in the beta?

They basically gave you the game itself and said "hey try it before you buy it"

The purpose of the beta was to iron out online bugs AND the final game is MUCH MORE than the beta...the BETA didnt even have the core game ranking/collecting system online.

I dont know about the map situation, I wont have it till tomorrow.

Early impressions from friends that have it are outstanding. Like everyone on my friends list is playing it. I heard even IGN said it was great.
