The terrain in the game is so ugly and poorly textured. A lot of the land looks like something a PC game puked up about 6 years ago.

And the controls in this game are as terrible as advertised. Anything other than simple movement doesn't register correctly all the time. I can't believe Sony okayed this.

Yeah, this is worse than Two Worlds, easy. Even when the controls are responsive, they still feel floaty, as if there's a delay between when you gesture and when the dragon moves. You don't notice it when training, when everything is going slow, but when you are ina fight, and have to move quickly, the insufficiency of the controls makes itself very clear.

Ouch. Not having the "at least it's better than Two Worlds" stamp of approval is the final nail in the coffin for Factor 4.9.

Seriously though, TVC probably just has bad taste. (that and the fact that his pay check is coming from you know who) Did anyone else other than TVC get all of Abrader's picks of the month which were 1)Warhawk, 2) Lair, 3) PS3 Gundam DW? It's the perfect storm of gaming for this month and enough reason for somone to kick the 360 back into the closet. Also, if you have a chance, go and pick up Abrader's all-time classic recommendation for this month, Drakengard. As amazing as Lair is, Drakengard is still the standard bearer in the dragon-flying genre.

The ending is also good.

If not for Drakengard, games like Lair would never have existed. It's not a fetch to say that even movies like Eragon were inspired by Drakengard.

haha i think you got me all wrong - while I do like the dragon video games, im not some fantasy freak, midevil festival attending, chainmail wearing, uniucorn poster owning qveer.

LEt me put it this way - remember Gunmetal on the XBOX? You could quickly transform from flying to running on the ground as a mech...anyway, thats why I like the dragon riding games - the flow of the gameplay, not so much the fantasy shyt...

That Blue Dragon demo is complete shit. The real game is exponentially better, so much so that I can't believe MS even put that demo out. Take a one traditional turn based JRPG, add a group of up pumped up characters that no one knows into 2 random envoirments without any context, sprinkle that with some slow down.....holy fucking shit. Who the hell thought this would be a good idea? It's a total disservice to the game.

I'm on disc 2 now and I honestly don't understand the bad reviews anymore. It's like FFV with some of the most amazing graphics ever. I'm lovin' it.
