PS3 to PSP Remote Play looks fucken awesome

I know I'm not the only one that would use this kickass feature when it comes to games were I need to grind the hours away. PSP in hand while the TVs on (maybe a Baseball game or some shit).

Then theres the scenario where you located in an area away from your home that has a good upload speed and be able to play PS3 games on the go. I would probably just use it for my local WiFi though.

The lack of L2 and R2 shoulder buttons on the PSP will probably be an issue but I've coped with it when it comes to PSX games. Good shit though. Would rock even more if PSX/PS2 Emulation on PS3 were equipped with this feature.

Yeah, I wouldn't buy Lair at all but theres times where I would like to loung back with my PSP and pop on some headphones. I guess its introvert BlueTsunami come out!  :'(

I guess its more usefull application would be on the road. Also the only downgrade you'll be getting is the shrunk down resolution and not having a kickass Sound system. But I don't know, sometiems I love playing in front of my HDTV and with my Sound System but when it comes to mundane tasks (like grinding) I would just Remote Play on my PSP.

I think it's a cool idea.  It's obviously not meant to be your main way of playing games but there are times when it could come in handy.  I have my DLP in the living room and live with 6 other people.  If I come home from work and someone's in the middle of watching a movie I'm not going to be a douche-bag and tell them to leave or turn on the lights and spend 5 minutes trying to disconnect the console from a complicated audio/video setup to take to my room.  I could just start up the system and play from my room on the PSP.  It's a bonus, not something you buy the systems for.

If this works wirelessly, then that means they redid the assets in lair and made it able to run on PSP.  Which makes me wonder wonder what exactly the PS3 is doing.

i dunno.  i could see it being cool if i needed to grind an rpg character but i'm stuck at work or somewhere else.

Supposedly Dante on GAF stated he felt no latency at all. Its appearently dumping an MPEG4 Video down of the game your playing? The cell is supposed to be fucken quick at rendering certain video out, so it wouldn't surprise me if its doing it in real time.

Thats very true but theres some cases where I would utilize it. As far as playing through a whole PS3 game on my PSP? Definitely not! :p

it's more surprising that the PSP is able to get the video and send controller inputs back fast enough not to have controller lag.

I wouldn't trust Dante.  He would say all kinds of BS in favor of the PS3.  Remote play video doesn't look as good as a UMD or a ripped movie on a memory stick, so I kinda doubt that the image quality of remote play Lair would be equivalent to a PSP game.  Maybe Abrader or TVC can test for us. 

How do they fit 2GB levels on the PSP?
