Author Topic: Guys, I'm in a dilemma and need advice. (Read 4459 times)

Here's the deal, being handicapped I can't drive, cook, clean, bathe etc. Well I signed up for a deal where a nurse will come out and do that stuff, and while I won't mind who it is for almost anything, there is one exception: bathing. Now I'm not expecting some hot Asian chick to do it by any means, but my brother works for a hospice where he deals with those type of people and he said the majority of the guys there that do that are gay. Now while I don't have a problem with gay people, I REALLY don't want a gay guy to be bathing me, so should I specifically say "no gay guys" or just hope he isn't? Well, what do you want me to do? Being handicapped makes it kind of hard to take pics, which is why I don't have a camera.

My Uncle is (partially I think) disabled and I have helped him shower. Not everyone who does it is gay. It's a little odd at first, but then you just realize it's another human body. The thing was, I didn't hardly need to touch him. Just use a washcloth a little and let him do what he can himself. Just had to make sure he didn't slip or fall. How much can you wash yourself? Can you use a washcloth? It really depends on how much the person will need to touch you.

And if you ask for a woman, that might seem creepy.

Well, it's not so much that I'm worried he'd get turned on as much as just the fact I'm being bathed by a gay guy that bothers me.

While I agree with you, it's not hard to see why he would feel uncomfortable with this. If you can get a female or even straight male to do this service, good for you. But if a homosexual male is the only option, you'll have to do what you have to do. My experience with homosexuals has revealed they have very good taste, so I doubt you have anything to worry about Synbios
