my friend (who's iranian) was born on september 11. on the week of 9/11 he and half a dozen idiots walked into a starbucks wearing those arab turban things and everybody walked out. it's amazing they didn't get shot.
as for how my school reacted, due to difference in time zone, it was already over once school started and nobody thought it was that serious. tbh, it's not something that really made them nervous or anything. like if you had a relative who worked in the WTC (like a P.E. teacher) they could understand it. they wouldn't expect msnbc reruns from that day to be played 6 years later though.
