Quote from: Theodore Roosevelt
I had a headache and Conie and Ellie made a tremendous noise playing at my expense and rather laughed when I remonstrated.

But what do you expect?  He was homeschooled.

I noticed it, it just wasn't worth commenting on lolol.

Also cause I am fucking bored here is how I'd rank the last 10. Yes I PUT NIXON AHEAD OF REAGAN. I kind of liked Nixon for some god awful reason.  :-[ And yes Gerald Ford is in my top 5 loooool

1. Lyndon B. Johnson
2. Dwight Eisenhower
3. Bill Clinton
4. John F. Kennedy
5. Gerald Ford
6. George H.W. Bush
7. Jimmy Carter
8. Richard Nixon
9. Ronald Reagan
10. George W. Bush

How could you possibly justify putting Nixon, CARTER, HW, and Ford ahead of Reagan?  :lol

My justification is it's all subjective.

I LOOOOOOOVE Ford, I have no clue why. I just do. Nixon is such a interesting figure, I adore him. I have always respected HW, I really think he is a smart cookie while I found Reagan kinda dim. As for Carter? Carter is totally the Mr. Rogers of President's how can't I love him?

who the fuck compares TR to the guy who only became president because he wore his french-indian war uniform (which during the two battles he led, he lost one and the other he won was against a diplomatic party) to congress every day when the constitution was being written and who couldn't make his mind up about whether slaves should really be free but that hey, I should switch them between houses in different states so that they don't become free after 6 months?

the guy was an idiot, but I guess he looked good as a figurehead so the senators and representatives elected him.

Washington's military record speaks for itself lol. I'm more fascinated with some of the more iconic sieges he led, not to mention coming out of battle with musket shots through his clothes but no injuries. The man was bad ass. Washing-ton

So basically they're the anti-MAF?
Alcohol is never frivolous.

Thomas Jefferson was a total hypocrite. I remember seeing a documentary about the black Jefferson descendants and the white Jefferson descendents met or some such. Fun times.

I'm not sure if they televised this part though or something else between the black-white descendents (who were from Hemming but went into the white community) or the black-black descendents (who remained in the black community).

Look at wiki or some other source. In general he advocated that slavery was immoral and that all men were born equal but he owned slaves. Personally from what I remember he didn't release Heming from slavery after his death (though I think his children may have been).

Ron Paul would destroy this country. You can't fucking dismantle the public education system and other batshit insane ideas he has. The country would fall apart.

Is he right on Iraq? Yes. But who the fuck cares about Iraq when he'd tear apart this country?

Quote
COLUMBIA, South Carolina (AP) — Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama said Sunday that the front-runner for his party's nomination, Hillary Clinton, does not offer the break from politics as usual that voters need.

Both Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-New York, and her husband, former President Clinton, have criticized Obama for his lack of political experience. (Related: Bill Clinton hits Obama on experience)

Obama said he understands their argument.

"They want to make the argument that Senator Clinton is just an extension of the Bill Clinton presidency," Obama said in an interview with The Associated Press. "They've been the dominant political family in the Democratic Party for the last 20 years now. So it's not surprising that they want to focus on their longevity.

But, Obama said: "My belief is that the American people are looking for a fundamental break from the way we've been doing business."

Obama said his opposition to the Iraq war before combat began shows his experience. Clinton voted to authorize military action in Iraq.

"On the single most important foreign policy issue of our time, I got it right," Obama said.

This week marks the fifth anniversary of a speech Obama gave in 2002 opposing the Iraq war, and he'll spend the week revisiting that address and discussing the foreign policy challenges he says it has created.
http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/

Typical CNN hyperbole. I saw a link saying "Obama blasts the Clintons!" and I'm like awesome, about time. But then I read the article lol.

Obama needs to start slamming her on Iraq. He was right about Iraq in the beginning and should focus on that more. Hillary made the easy, politically expedient vote on the war. Her entire "knowing what I know now..." excuse is invalid, as Kucinich and others have pointed out; there was more than enough evidence out suggesting Iraq had no WMD, no ties to 911, and no ties to terrorism before the war began. Of course the media would have us believe these revelations came out a year or so later, to cover their own asses - they didn't do their jobs when it was most important.

Obama is a great writer and is surrounded by great writers, yet he can't come up with some line or point to really address Clinton.

Dude, all he is saying is that the Federal government should be smaller. The FEDERAL government. Plus, even if he was elected he would not be able to abolish very many government agencies. I don't think he should. He should just make them smaller and more efficient.
