My PGR 4 preorder at EB was wortless

Mind you I was too busy last week to pick it up - but I never did get the call....

So I call the local store today and they tell me - "of you didnt get the call because we moved the store location last week and we did not get any inventory" - so I say "what about pre-orders?" - they reply "oh all who paid the $5 will be able to apply the store credit to the purchase of the game whenever we get it in". They dont even have it in stock and dont know when they will - but they do have my Orange Box so that kinda makes up for it.

LOL - WTFX?

Oh well pleanty to play - but yet another stain on EB/Gamestops preorder program... (we moved stores so we decided it was too much of a hassle to deal with preorders that week)

Better than Gamecrazy. All of their PSP games come like 2 days late, on purpose. They call it Quick Turn, which just makes me more angry. Why pre-order if they cant get me my copy on release day.

They just up and moved store locations?  This Internet complaint sounds fishy.

no reallly -

In the Orlando Fashion Square mall there was an EB  and a Gamestop at opposite sides of the mall.

- they closed both stores and then opened a larger Gamestop in the middle of the mall to consolidate.

- corp made them recieve all new inventory and they were not allowed to transfer inventory from either of the two older stores.

- When they closed out the other 2 stores, they transfereed each stores preorder credits onto a Gamestop gift card since the credits were not on the books for the new store.

and finally - when I went there just now to pick up all of my gear - they did find PGR4 in one of their new shipment boxes.

The paid my PSP Final Fantasy Tactics and my PGR4 preorder credit with the old stores "pre-order balance" gift card.

So the complaint isnt fishy - but I did get the game today.

I suppose it technically only a complaint if i wanted to play it last week at launch - I would have been SOL.
