yep set the box to 720p, the ratio on the 32" looks pretty damn good to me, Gears looks really good.

Yeah I will, Ive just moved house and Im waiting for my broadband to be connected, so I havent got my box online yet. I'll add all you guys as friends and shit.... does it have to be a 2 way handshake like on the Wii? Or can I just add you and you'll get a notification? Regardless Im really looking forward to playing online and downloading Xbla games. Ive just rocked about 4 hours of Halo. Playing on Heroic for my 1st playthrough so its a bit challenging.

Does every game have achivements? I played some Warriors Orochi (which rocks!) and no achievement list has shown up on the dashboard? This is all new to me  :'(

But yeah I can definitely see myself falling in love with this console, and turning into an achievement whore lol

Microsoft doesn't accept broken 360 unless they have a RROD. My first 360 had a fried GPU that wouldn't display green and my friend had a broken disc drive, they didn't accpet either until we manually forced the RROD on the them.

Marathon sessions are the only way to go.

Try to clean the disc with a piece of cloth and hope it works (i know it's mint).

the Xbox support webpage said something like turn the console off, then turn it on again. Hopefully that'll fix it :p Its a pity such an amazing system is so unreliable. It happened to me with my old 360 ( Samsung Drive, to know your drive, see this site: http://www.llamma.com/xbox360/Xbox_360_DVD_Drive_Comparison.htm ), i opened it up and cleaned the drive lens, if the problem goes away, then it's alright i guess.

i didn't see this issue with my new 360 though, not yet anyway (Benq drive).

and about live arcade titles like SOTN, usually they have HD options like filter + stretch to screen, nice shit.
