Hot Fuzz
300

...uhhh, what else came out this year? I forgot. I'm looking forward to American Gangster and Tom Cruise's latest classic film, Lions for Lamb Chops

But 300 was HORRIBLE. HORRIBLE.

HORRIBLE.

I haven't seen much this year, um 300, Ratatouille, Wristcutters. I feel like there was one or two others I saw but I can't recall now...

Edit: Looking at the first page reminded me that I saw Knocked Up and Super Bad. Oh and Hotfuzz.

$10-$14 for 2 hours of entertainment is a poor value.

Have you seen 1776, Robot Chicken's parody sequel to 300?

I thought reign over me was a good one.  It just seemed extremely real, like that's how people would really act, as if it was unscripted.

I watched it a second time on DVD with my GF. All the shit that leads up to the actual combat is so painfully slow and boring. Actually all the non combat stuff is horrible.

I was watching 300 for like 5 minutes and got too bored to watch past that.  I think I have it somewhere, are non-combat scenes the majority or the minority?

it doesn't really matter.

all scenes (combat/non-combat) are in slow motion so they're all pretty boring.

yeah that's what I figured.  I bet most of the people hyped up about this on the internet didn't even watch it.

After seeing Gone Baby Gone, I now agree with Cheebs. I can't believe I'm saying an Affleck family presentation is my movie of the year so far.

Got to see The Assassination Of Jesse James By The Coward Robert Ford while in Edmonton (where the film was shot, oddly enough).

Yeah, its my new #1 for the year.

It and Zodiac are pretty much the two bonafide masterpieces for me this year. Go historical epics!

Meh, I like games way more than most movies, so TOO BAD.  :maf

I've only seen like 5 movies this year I think.

300
Knocked Up
SuperBad
Die Hard 4
Fantastic 4

I didn't like any of these in particular, but I'll probably go with DH4 or 300.

Bourne Ultimatum

Hot Fuzz was good but the 1st 20% was mediocre.
