Sonofabitch. I DID get a lot of christmas shopping and shipping done today tho. 90 bucks of shipping, presents for 3 people, but even so, money is required for rent and bills. So needless to say, I will be living light till the 15th when I will repent for overspending and christmas shop in the mouth of madness.

(still need to get the first one)

i was on a similar media binge over a year ago when i was being frivolous with my finances. once i started noticing how much shit was left unopened, i realized i had a problem. nowadays i try and watch/listen/complete whatever media it is that i buy before i rationalize buying more. it's tough, i've still got a few things unopened. $:-\$

my biggest problem with HD movies, is that if you miss it on release, good luck finding it a few weeks later (with most titles).

The HD-DVDs I bought are exclusives. Multiformat releases I try to get on BD, since my PS3 is more reliable than my 360, and it also has my HDMI port.

What with it being the holidays and all, that rule might disintegrate into taking whatever I could get.

as for multi blu/hd movies, i usually get hd dvd version for HDi contents and knowing they won't fuck with the transfer somehow. (dvd forum spec and mandatory VC1 since day 1)

You should go to Fry's for Blu-rays. I prefer shopping at BB but Fry's usually has better prices for HD movies. Many of the movies are 5-10 cheaper at Fry's and they also have more discounts every week.

Maf, do you mind buying movies online? I usually prefer to pick up movies at B&M stores but Amazon's Blu-ray prices are quite a bit cheaper, plus they've been offering free shipping recently. The free shipping is pretty fast as I got my stuff in a week. Our locations aren't that far apart so it should be pretty quick for you too.

Its interesting, I've never played a game like it before. I've heard that it's pretty close to the tabletop game. It stresses the placement of your characters in cover as well as action point management. I've had fun playing the single player, it is relatively short, but challenging. There is no skirmish mode or anything, so that honestly feels sloppy. I've heard the multiplayer is great fun though. Maybe if people on EB get it, we can play some games.

Very much so. Main characters and the various roles are completely different (except for Theo). The recolection to when his child died was fucken heartbreaking.
