Dear Microsoft: Your Windows Live Mobile platform is SHITE

Windows Live mobile drops in and out - and I haven't even been able to sign in for over a day.  I'm not the only one complaining either, apparently.  Since they began their shift to Windows Live and broadened their platform support, their mobile support has been poop.  I hear the same complaints from folks with other phones and other carriers.  Every other e-mail and IM client under the sun is rock solid on portable devices, why can't Microsoft get their shit together.  I do applaud the fact that they're trying to run their client on more platforms than AOL or Yahoo! or Google, but if you're going to do that - they better damn well run on 'em!

Yeah, I mean, it's awesome that you should be able to chat with everyone underneath the sun on your PC, in your web browser, on your Xbox 360, on a tablet, on your PDA, on a watch, on a toaster and in the toilet.  BUT WHY NOT ON MY PHONE.

Helio doesn't have a Windows Mobile 6 device, even though the Pantech Duo (which is a Windows Mobile 6 phone) is just a reformatted Ocean for AT&T.  I honestly thought about going that route, since GameStop employees get 8% off their monthly AT&T bill, but then I'd still be paying roughly twice the amount per month I will with Helio and the only service I'm honestly missing is stable Windows Live support.  Helio says they're working on a solution with Microsoft on the particular issue, but I think that's just stonewalling since this does not seem to be a carrier-specific issue.

For now, Yahoo!, Google and AIM will have to suffice for my mobile chatting needs.  Google supports the hell out of the Ocean and it rocks - from the fully implemented Google Maps and Buddy Beacon GPS support to a very robust browser.
