Damn you Evilbore.

Every week I check out the Best Buy flyer to see what deals are going on. Every other week there's 1 or 2 movies I want. I bought the Taxi Driver and Robocop special editions a month ago for 25 bucks on Amazon and I thought it was a great deal. I haven't even watched either of them yet. Now Best Buy is selling those - and more special editions - for 9 bucks each. Memento and Dr. Strangelove here I come. Thinking about also picking up Serenity. Liked the TV show a lot, and I haven't seen the movie.

i only buy movies unless they're very cheap & (supposedly) good, or if they're the type of movies that i'd watch lots of times.

Me, I don't really go in for possessions any longer. I have a bunch of money in my bank and am almost debt free, though. So I've got that going for me.

I only buy movies I love and have high replay value. I could watch Goodfellas a couple times a month. Sin City is the type of movie I can put on while I cook/clean up/etc

Anything more than $15 for a dvd is too much nowadays, considering how quickly the DVD prices drop. I myself haven't bought a dvd since I started buying HD-DVDs and Blu-rays.

I own hundreds of DVDs so I feel for you, dude. I'm hooked on buying older catalog releases from Warner Bros. and obscure shit from Blue Underground/Anchor Bay especially. Still need to pick up the Mondo documentary set.

LOTR Extended Editions were $12.99 at Best Buy last week -- kind of hard to pull the trigger when HD versions are probably right around the corner, but the free Golden Compass ticket inside is like an $8 value anyway.

Serenity Collector's Edition is $8.99 at Best Buy and Amazon. I picked up one for myself today and one for a gift......probably the least painful double-dip I've suffered.

Shawshank Redemption SE is also $9 at Best Buy.
