boner academy: NEW BAUHAUS ALBUM
« on: December 06, 2007, 01:55:38 PM »
"Bauhaus are marking their official disbandment with the release of a final studio album, Going Away White. The title seems like a cheeky subversion of the all-black goth stereotype, so at least they have a sense of humor about the whole thing."

<sprays semen all over Patel's ass and titties>

Bauhaus - at least its better than Dhalis Car - altho my fav act out of that mess was Tones on Tail.

Nick Cave - Birthday Party was good, but I just cant get into the Nick/Blixa stuff......

RELEASE THE BATS

Nick and Blixa haven't been working together since like 2004.

The last Bad Seeds album (and the first Blixa-less one) was unanimously agreed upon as one of their best.  Abattoir Blues/The Lyre of Orpheus.  It was fuck all awesome.

Looking at his Wikipedia entry, I am fairly sure I am unfamiliar with him.

^^ Thanks -

I honestly thought there was no way that users on this forum could not be Jarman fans if anything due to his involvement with pop music acts like The Smiths and PetShopBoys- and the neo-punk films. I really thought you guys were fucking with me LOL

Its a big world of media out there!

Yeah, but most of those things are like small cult things from the 80s.  I honestly don't think I've seen a Smiths video outside of How Soon is Now.

I saw Winged Migration a couple weeks ago with some beautiful girls

and their beautiful boyfriends

who had picked me up off the street and taken me to their apartment.  Best movie ever!  Thankfully, they muted the soundtrack and put on Beatles and Joni Mitchell records instead.

I half expected the Bauhaus LP to actually be titled 'Boner Academy'. They should change it to that.  8)

I think that the Winged Migration soundtrack is amazing. :( My wife and I ran out to buy it after we rented the DVD and it took us way too many trips to stores to find it.

I was just being a smartass.  Having not heard the soundtrack, I can't have an opinion on it, but I'd been under the apparently false impression (until I googled it half an hour ago) that Nick Cave was responsible for the whole thing instead of just a couple of bookend songs, so I figured it was probably a continuation of his pseudo-Leonard Cohen turn.  It always pisses me off when famous musicians who contribute a track or two to a project get credit for the entire thing and the less famous ones who write the rest get ignored (e.g. Chris Kohler crediting the Surf Coasters for the music in Samurai Legend Musashi and ignoring Masashi Hamauzu) so I guess I should name Bruno Coulais as the actual composer.

Here is an asian show describing and showing clips of The Smiths video "queen is dead" and then some other movies such as The Garden...

I like this you tube video of the asian show about Derek JArman because it shows alot of variety.

This is all like big projection martini hour stuff.

Looks good projected on walls etc....

I think Derek J's worst thing is Carvaggio

Carvaggio also did that fucking losing my religion REM video...I fucking get creeped out by cherubs and angelic looking things. Religion in general is creepy to me. Second most terrifying thing in my book below this is Dhali's use of ants to represent decay in paintings - fukking spooky.
